Nice touch, and it reminds me of something that happened to me last summer.
I was walking through town with the missus and saw a credit card sticking out of a cash machine, we waited for five minutes in case the owner came bcak but they didn't. I rang Nationwide and notified them of the lost card and they told me to destroy it, which I did.
My girlfriend then came up with the idea of searching for the woman who's card it was on Facebook and telling her we'd found it and not to worry as she had a strange name, I found her, messaged her with the news she needn't worry.
She got back to me, thanked me, then told me I shouldn't have destroyed it as she'd have to wait two weeks for a new card and that I was a dirty piggy because my profile picture was of my Owl tattoo!
Did her a massive favour and got an ear bashing for my trouble!
You wouldn't have got that from a Wednesday fan...
