What fucks me off is that I’ve seen other games and I include us in this where we’ve taken the complete piss and got away with it. I know it’s a new rule and everything but 12 is out of order.

Wes was on a booking so wasnt wasting any time, we werent even getting many other set pieces to give us an opportunity to waste time. We didnt make too many subs. It was just over the top.

Even our lass said to me. What are you pacing for you’re winning? And my response was, if they get 1 they’re getting 2. I fucking despise being right….sometimes.

I want us to go down from a fans perspective. Selfish? Damn fucking right. I want to enjoy watching the team I support week in week out
 
How many teams have done it to us? We have always played fair. The first time we have a go back and this happens.

We lost because we don’t have the bottle required, let alone talent. 97 minutes on the clock and we’re winning… how the fuck do we lose from that? It’s a complete embarrassment.
 
CORUPT REFS FOR A CORUPT LEAGUE!

The ref was bad for both teams to be fair.
The more I watch this Premier League product the more it seems like WWE. Said that a couple of years ago and have not changed my mind.

It's not about the teams anymore, it's about the referee and what drama he can create to cause controversy to gain viewers. Players getting cards for non-footballing events it's getting ridiculous and OK so they brought these harsher rules in over the summer... doesn't seem to be working, when the players supposedly know the new rules we are getting record number of cards in the league. If anything it riles players up more. I don't want to watch football for the cards. The first 10 mins the ref was letting stuff go (as football should be played).
 
I think we got what we deserved today on the balance of play and I don't think the added time was that unusual with the new time wasting stuff but I do really dislike the league. It's never going to get as good as that Wilder season and we're just there to make up the numbers. We're going to lose most weeks and there's no real chance of success without having a billionaire owner. The best you can hope for is being Palace and they're the most boring club in England. I'd rather have our last 10 years than theirs

There was 9 in that match, which included Sam Johnstone being down for 3 mins in the second half. Not comparable at all
 
This season we're the shithouser. In season's past we've been the shithousee. This new rule maximises the outcome of the better team winning. Wank for us this season but we'd be applauding it in different circs. Heartbreaker for us today.

absolutely spot on basham has been a fantastic servant for this club but we just cant be putting him in when weve an injury on the positive side i think we did really well today but spurs definetly deserved the 3 points we just cant compete with these big clubs in this league
 
Absolutely the correct and fair result based on stats. Doesn't make it easy to stomach though.

Can't blame anyone today. Well proud of the Blades and those that travelled down.

We are improving game by game which is very encouraging.

On a side note, the Wank Spurs 'fans' taking 98 minutes to sing and back their team 🤣

Absolutely this. The amount of added time was clearly aimed at allowing them time to equalise. That they then went and won is just a double kick in the bollocks for us.

I said 8 maybe 10 at worst at the 80 minutes mark so it wasn’t a surprise to see 12 tbh

I'd like a sustained period in the PL that results in proper off field investment.
Improvements and expansion to the stadium, new training ground, CAT1 Academy etc.
Build the fan base, leave Wednesday well behind.

Agree with your statement otherwise though. It's usually good fun being a Blade, I just want there to be less jeopardy financially.

Yeah i was expecting similar but even then I thought that would be the max. As I said earlier, I’ve seen teams do far worse.

James Maddison when he was at Norwich was one of the worst examples I’ve ever seen. Changed his tune today mind.
 
We will get turned over by teams with stronger squads. Regardless of how much time is added to a game we have to be able to complete to the end.
Teams with very big transfer budgets and salary scales are always going to be difficult to beat.
Still plenty of games to go, the players and manager learn more with each game.

Would there have been 12 minutes added time if Spurs had taken a 1-0 lead in the 89th minute?

I dont think we’re not good enough. I actually think today was one of those games where quality wise we couldnt match Spurs, which clearly showed on the stats, but our grit and determination gave us a real fighting chance of getting something.

This new stoppage time rule basically means that instead of giving the top 6 clubs a chance of a late equaliser, it basically means they are favourites to win the game if they get the one back they need. I can see why they do it but 12 minutes was fucking ludicrous. Play that last game last season and any more than 5 minutes would have been outrageous on those rules.

Look, we clearly didnt deserve to win on the stats but we were also massively unfairly treated where injury time is concerned.
