Anyone considering not watching on Sunday?

Yeah, it's shit.

What I've learnt about myself from lockdown is that I love the matchday experience but I don't actually like football that much.

Said to a mate the other day I miss the Saturday routine rather than the football.

I’m out of love with the game at the minute.

I’ll still watch our match, always will. I don’t watch half as much other football as I used to though.

Watching and lumping on a Blades win ! My youngest still believes in Santa and the Elf on the shelf ! If he can still have faith in that shit then it’s fiver to win , after all Santa is red and white , just like Sheffield!!
As ever UTB
Ps get a grip this is when they need us most !!

Fucking glory hunter, meh meh iam not watching cos we probably wont win. Kids are even more grown up. Man the fuck up, through thick and thin, through good and bad, are you really a Blade ? Pull your head out your arse, your club needs you, with this attitude you dont deserve them. Go sit in the naughty corner with your best mate Lundstram. Come back when you get your priorities in order. And dont let me catch you singing 'Forever and ever, we'll follow our team'. If this was my site i'd ban you for 2 weeks you judas. 🤬

I’ll watch but as others have said every time the camera pans round to where I normally sit my heart will sink and whatever the result it just won’t be the same for me. Losing the will to watch much more football on TV.

I will watch it intently until we have missed 3 sitters and they go one up after 55 minutes. I might even just hang in there until they take Bash off. Hopefully none of this will happen and we will steam roller 'em from start to finish. UTB

I have started watching being a pillow as it's like a horror film.....when will we get killed off, will it be a slaughter, which player(s) is the villain, will the midfield still be playing like they're possessed by the ghost of dean Hammond, and don't get me started on another ghost goal

Guessing there must be more like me who really can't face watching it this weekend.. (but will end up watching it) Its becoming painful and depressing to watch us, always seems to ruin the weekend.

More or less guaranteed we won't score... Vardy will probably get 2 or 3.....

We already know what's going to happen and that it's going to be shit.. The games are sort of hanging over us rather than something to look forward to at the moment

Gosh - yet another negative aspect to an OP - I serious don't know how some people get through life.

Cheer up fella - it's a game of football where we start on equal terms and we possess a management team determined to drag the club/players/management/owners/fans out of the present shit we are undoubtedly in.

No one can effect the past, but the future hasn't been written yet.

Here's one small clue/fact to help - Leicester 1 Fulham 2.

UTB

Not going to lie, that west brom game nearly broke me. But I'm still going to watch on Sunday despite feeling extreme tension and anxiety watching us on TV this season

I'll be watching it on Sky, I'll buy a day pass. Also we'll win this one I think. 2 - 1 Blades.

I have missed a couple of our games this season, due to having better options at the time. That would normally never happen. Generally speaking though I'll always watch our games no matter how bad we are (mainly because I'm there 90% of the time).

This season though I find myself not really caring all that much. I go to the games for the craic, the day out, the catch up with family and friends and the pure enjoyment of it all. Watching on TV at home is very sterile for me at the best of times and I don't think I'd ever actually done that for a Blades game before lockdown. Watching in the pub with fellow fans is slightly better but even that can't be done now. With VAR on top it's hard for me to stay all that interested.

I also haven't watched a single full game as a neutral this season. Which is a first for me, over a quarter of the way in to a season.

I'm the same I find it really hard to watch us on telly, especially when we're at the Lane. I think it's something to do with not being there, even though being there and shouting encouragement at the team or abuse at the opposition / ref makes hardly any difference to a match, at least it feels like you're having a tiny effect on proceedings and part of a collective supporting effort.

When you're sat at home it's just such a disconnection, especially now: a) the novelty has worn off, and b) we're crap.

I could have nipped up the road (20 odd minutes on the 36) to watch Harrogate Town.

They're in Tier 2 but Leeds are in Tier 3 so I can't anyway.

Except I'm shielding myself.

Just feel for the Town fans.

First ever season in the League and only now can their fans attend a match, 2,000 in a stadium that holds 4,000 I think it is. Should be rocking so I'm pleased for them.

Can you imagine what it must have been like for them to miss their team winning the Play-Off Final at Wembley1!

I know some of their fans and they're buzzing!

I'd suggest you get down there ZoneManWilf if they haven't sold out ;)

Dear, oh dear - fair weather - we have been in the old division 4 you know?

Glory hunter.... 🙈....I've had season tickets for nearly 30 years... Can you let me know when we're going to get some of this glory....

You're right tho I'm going to pull myself together and sit and 'enjoy' every god damn depressingly awful minute of it... UTB

Does watching on tv rather than at BDTBL maintain the same level of Bladey Bladeyness?

I always thought Bigger Blades sneered at armchair fans.

I'd love to know how much money all the people are having on Leicester who claim we're guaranteed to lose.

Presumably at least five grand?

Show us yer betslips you yellow bellied whining fannies.

I usually watch as much football as possible. But this season I've mostly just watched Blades games.

However, for no apparent reason last night, I suddenly felt the urge to watch the Championship game (turned out I'd missed it because an early kick off!)... But now I'm watching Burnley.

I think this sudden urge to enjoy football again is because THE BLADES LUCK IS ABOUT TO CHANGE.

COME ON YOU BLADES!

Thats the spirit, you put the U in united. up the fucking blades.

Could be worse, could be as watching The Millers like I am now 😁

So you only watch united when we are doing well?

As bad as it is right now I'll definitely be watching tomorrow.

No I've had season tickets for knocking on 30 years so I've seen my fair share of shite... Just find this season especially depressing to the point its becoming unbearable

I'll tell myself not to watch it, then watch it anyway and end up having a shite Sunday 🤣🤣

I get what you mean but imo we have been in more depressing situations.

The play off semi finals/final defeats and the shite spells under Heath, Robson, Wier and Adkins.

Imagine missing tomorrow's match and we win.

The difference this time is the 4 managers you have mentioned, you didn't mind the odd loss to get rid of them... I'd have Wilder as manager for the next 10 years if I had a choice which makes the terrible form harder to take

Never quite worked out why it is generally more stressful watching the game on the TV compared to actually being at the game. Only exception to that rule seems to be derby matches when I’m a bag of nerves for the entire 90 minutes whether it’s watching on TV or not

The worst part about it is we all really like the manager and want him to do well when it's some toss pot like adkins, Robson etc you're not as bothered about the result as you've got half an eye on them getting the boot. These losses hurt a lot more.
It’s the hope that’s killing us, if we scrapped 17th last season everyone would have expected more of the same, but clearly we massively overachieved, it hurts for me but I have to keep going, seeing the state of our football club over the years , we dreamed of being here and now we are try and find some joy in that, i don’t know if we have enough to survive but that win will come and I do strongly believe we have no better person in charge ⚔️⚔️⚔️
