Guessing there must be more like me who really can't face watching it this weekend.. (but will end up watching it) Its becoming painful and depressing to watch us, always seems to ruin the weekend.

More or less guaranteed we won't score... Vardy will probably get 2 or 3.....

We already know what's going to happen and that it's going to be shit.. The games are sort of hanging over us rather than something to look forward to at the moment

Yes , coz it's an antiseptic TV experience as opposed to a day out centred on the Lane

Planning on watching, wife and kids are out for the afternoon.

Or I’ll be given a list of chores to do and listen on the wireless

Well i am the same .i find it so frustrating ,like you i seem to know whats going to happen.Once the opposition scores i turn it off knowing that we will never score.Fed up of seeing or hearing about the ball flying all over the oppositions penalty area and finding no one other than a oppositions defender.Good job i have no bloody hair ,i would be pulling it out by half time.So i turn it off saving my blood pressure from shooting through the roof. Even if the opposition score in the first min i would turn it off knowing very well we have lost.No point in thinking our forwards would equalise.

We're struggling at the minute so you stop following us?

Awww poor babies.

You might be better off supporting Liverpool or Man City.
What you miss in your response, Nuddy, is that the OP doesn't in any way insinuate that they are stopping following us.

I understand exactly where Drunk is coming from. After those 5 minutes at the start of the WBA match, the 'we're done for' doom was already clouding the skies. I was heartened that we got to half time only 1-0 down. I struggled to get to sleep as missed chance after missed chance replayed in my head. I woke up in the middle of the night with those chances still repeating themselves in my head.

I have just about got over it now, in part by avoiding coming on here this week. I don't need to hear anyone's opinions on McBurnie, or Wilder's transfer dealings, or Lundstram's participation. I may or may not tune in this weekend. I probably will because for some weird reason, I reckon we'll give Leicester a pasting. But if I don't, it doesn't mean I'd be better off supporting another team.

The worst part about it is we all really like the manager and want him to do well when it's some toss pot like adkins, Robson etc you're not as bothered about the result as you've got half an eye on them getting the boot. These losses hurt a lot more.

It's heartbreaking to watch at the moment but I can't not

Like every game this season will kick every ball with them. Just getting fed up of kicking the poor cat every week afterwards

I actually feel quite ill watching us live on TV - so I put it on record, watch the live score updates on the internet while watching the recording with a 10 minute delay.

If we concede I skip forward until after the goal and carry on forwards with another 10 minute delay.

For some reason I find live TV watching way more stressful than when I’m in my seat at the Lane. I suppose being on my own down here without fellow Blades to share the pain doesn’t help!

Interesting. I sometimes find it so stressful I pause for a while. But I never ever check the scores. I suffer through it just with regular breaks. Chelsea at home last season I finished about 11pm. Was convinced even at 2-0 they'd pull it back.

Having never bought SKY, I won't be.

I watched the first game after lockdown, at Villa, using that NowTV pass that we received as season-ticket-holders, and, frankly, that was enough. Didn't bother using my second pass.

Like others have said, I don't watch any 'highlights' either. I'm not bothering with this imitation football.

I'm the same I find it really hard to watch us on telly, especially when we're at the Lane. I think it's something to do with not being there, even though being there and shouting encouragement at the team or abuse at the opposition / ref makes hardly any difference to a match, at least it feels like you're having a tiny effect on proceedings and part of a collective supporting effort.

When you're sat at home it's just such a disconnection, especially now: a) the novelty has worn off, and b) we're crap.

We're gonna win and kick-start our season. You won't wanna miss that
