I'm so looking forward to it, that I've booked us (me & the wife) a romantic weekend in Scarborough (5-8th Aug).

Well at least one Blade is odds on to score that weekend

I feel underwhelmed by the pre season and am disappointed by many of the high earning failures still at the club, BUT fuck I have missed there being no football on. No amount of time in the garden, shopping down at Meadowhall with our lass or supping real ale up around Kelham Island can make up for there being no live footy to watch or even just on the box.

My red and white specs have been ordered, but have not arrived yet. The delivery man is still waiting for at least another 2 big earners out of the door and another 3 signings to arrive.

Am I excited? Fuck yes! Is it because I think United will do well, we will get promoted, the football will be exciting and/or I will actually enjoy the football being played? Absolutely not! As Blade in exile I will be looking forward to hearing the sweet sound of South Yorkshire accents shouting obscenities, tasting real ale served through a sparkler and seeing around 8-10 new stadiums

I will be at Oldham, probably the first home game and then Tranmere. I will also travel to Yeovil. Around the end of August I will be either suitably depressed, excited or apathetic. Difficult to say now. But fuck I wil glad when the season starts .....
