I along with most was pretty pissed off by the end of last season.

But now I can't wait for the next season to start.

I suppose there are a few of you out there that never learn too!

:D

No. Apathy still reigns here SF.
Rather watch the cricket for a while longer - more looking forward the the test match on Thursday than I am Blades vs Shit Town in Div 3 again

Well, I suppose mid-table mediocrity in the third tier of English football will take my mind of WTW getting kicked out of Super League because their baby-changing facilites don't match those of Salford and the long-drawn out race to finish above Dunfermline and St Mirren and avoid relegation again.

Hey fucking ho.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm looking forward to it and I think we will do well. Play offs at least. Like the way the team is shaping up and pleased with what Danny Wilson's done up to now. A couple more additions and we'll be fine

Damn straight, itching for it to start again as ever. Trying to organise getting Oldham tickets as we speak.

I think the watching of Hibees in the SPL next season will probably be the pinnacle of the sporting calendar. Especially the after match drinks in the Kings :)

You wheedled the 11th off yet? If not, be back up in Oct I'd have thought.

T'was ever thus! (for me dating back to 1949)

not excited in the slightest. I'm almost dreading the blades kicking off if I'm honest.

A few reasons - our lass and our dog will be spending all of august in Swiss with me, then bad timing of fixtures my first game won't be until 17th Sept v Colchester.

Really busy with work as I've now gone 50-50 on current project and a new one

Plus I am expecting a bad start to the season so can't really muster the normal preseason giddiness

Planning my first game away at Yeovil. I'm not going to get too giddy just yet. I'll await the first few performances to gauge what our fortunes hold for the season.

What's to get excited about?
At this present time we have 95% of the garbage that 'played' last year including the 'stars' Monty, Quinny, Evans, Cresswell, Simonsen - all useless and earning, sorry bleeding United dry a fortune weekly!
A nomark manager that cannot win whatever happens!
McCabe at the helm after dropping so many b****cks in the past three years
And most on this board looking forward to life in Division Three -Get a life - Its like watching Logans Run over and over again!!
Sorry, but the manager and his crew have a lot to do to get Fiery back down to the lane !!!

I don't like the situation, but I'm really looking forward to getting back into it.

There's a few in and around the squad that I'm looking forward to being given a chance in the first team and if nothing else, it's a change from the majority of teams we've played again and again in the last few years.

I also finally get a chance to get the odd "new" ground in.

Same every season. I think it's because the new guys in haven.t proven themselves to be shite......yet.

BV = naively optimistic

For the first time in several years i've not renewed my season ticket.

It's all to easy to blame it on a number of different factors, money is tight for me at the minute and i've got other priorities, but i would have been out there and bought a season ticket if i was looking forwards to the season, but i'm not, i've not really enjoyed going to the matches for a couple of years, and i'll be saving my money this year and picking and choosing my matches and look towards to doing a few away games

Ah, but do you have a members card???

I'm so looking forward to it, that I've booked us (me & the wife) a romantic weekend in Scarborough (5-8th Aug).

Doh!

Absolutely, glass topped up and half full ready for Oldham. I mentioned towards the end of last season that a season in this League could re-ignite a few fans with the new grounds etc and it may well do, provided.......................

.......they pay for the priv of getting the chance to buy tickets??

When it comes down to it
its us against them , 11 v 11, when we started the last time in div 3 there was a lot of indifference, bu 2 unknowns Deane and Agana found a way to make it interesting

What we need is a start like the first six games of that season: P6 W5 D0 L1 F22 A6.

Amazingly, we were averaging nearly 4 goals a game up until the end of September! We beat Bristol Rovers (4-1), Chester (6-1) and Northampton (4-0) at the Lane and won at Reading (3-1) and Brentford (4-1). The one defeat was at Gillingham (1-2) and those of us old enough to remember will still wonder how we lost that one - we had something like 20 attempts on goal in that game.

The team that did so well was:

Benstead

Wilder
Stancliffe
Smith
Pike

Roberts
Todd
Webster
Bryson

Deane
Agana

With Duffield, Powell, Joseph and Francis playing various cameo roles.
