It's been fun. Great fun and finally our younger supporters have seen something good that they'll talk about for the rest of their lives, like we do with Harris, Bassett etc. I'd quite like to do it again but I'm also itching to start next season. To play clubs our own size again and, from a purely selfish perspective, play some games in west London again.

And no sneaking up through the playoffs, no rushing around to find players. A plan for everything and everything planned for. Perfect.

New signings, not just your average bunch of mediocre journey-men, brought in according to the criteria that Wilder has set for who we sign.. Exciting times ahead, so no moaning chaps, the so-called 'close' season is in fact the setting for United returning to the Championship with all the suspense and expectation we've now come to expect. The question that I've returned to is, with EEL returning to Wolves, who will Wilder target as a replacement? I won't go round in ever decreasing circles about who we'll sign, but interesting times ahead.....UTB

Hate the close season, just seems to drag on. Will probably be worse this time (although we probably shouldn't want the new season to ever start according to the bitter pigs on Porktalk, we might as well miss next season and start the 18/19 back in the 1st division).
It is a bit better when there is a World cup or European Championship on.

Our record haul must be 96 points when we won Div 4.

Should we fail to get maximum points we'd still have a target of 97 to set a record I think.

When it was 2 points a win, I believe the most points we accumulated was 60 in 52-53.

This season has been so good. Like a really good book , film or TV series, I am now feeling like I don't want it to end. It's finishing too quickly and I want this feeling of pleasure to go on and on. Winning the title by someone else losing at Oldham has deprived me of the grandstand finish at home I craved. Like someone leaked the end of the story, series etc and I'd rather not of known until I saw it myself. Will the sequel be as good?
At least I know we don't have to make the P offs. Also got the Century to go for. Anyone else feeling like they wanted the season to keep going while we're on a roll?
