Lingard is still available on a free. Clearly talented but clearly a reason no one has picked him up this summer.
Presuming given he didn't do much at Forest last summer it's his attitude too alongside him wanting big wages.

Have seen Moyes is maybe drafting him in, seems like he's the only one who can manage him proper.

I think he’s a player we should consider.

It’s easy to get fixated by those with contracts running out but his is out already.

He predominantly plays as a winger on either side.

But we could play 4-3-3 at times. We could play 3-4-3 and we could also play 3-4-2-1 or a variation where he plays a bit of a free role.

Either way, he’s not over the hill, he was out in the cold due to circumstances in comments he made about the situation in Gaza which didn’t go down well with his club. It felt just wrong club, wrong timing.

He has a very good scoring record for the position he plays; 80 goals and 41 assists in 320 career appearances.

At Villa, his record reads 119 games, 26 goals and 16 assists.

Good player who would add something in my opinion.

Another one that depends on short term goals of the club. As a one year stop gap if the aim is immediate promotion back? Don't see why not, can probably do a job at next season's level. If he's wanting a longer term deal, or if we're planning a longer term climb back to the PL? Then it's a hard no, older player on decent enough wages blocking players with greater upside.
