Another slow start

Compared to recent seasons, it seems that Wilder has applied his talents to the tactical approach in our early PL games. I think before our first game, most fans would have accepted 2 points from our first two PL fixtures, as players and management make the adjustment to a higher level.
The response to Lunny's selection at home against Palace, shows that the fans believe in a front foot approach, but Wilder's caution is proven right again. (surprise, surprise).

I can remember when Bassett held a Christmas party in August because we never started picking up points until Christmas under him. lol

Anyway, all looking good and very happy with 4 points from our first two games. Just waiting for Wilder to signal his real intent for front foot football. Keep everyone guessing Chris. No one has sussed you yet.

I thought the use of Lundstram was going to be a tactical selection for away games and against the top sides when they come to the Lane, which makes perfect sense. I was surprised to see him start against Palace and thought Freeman would start to give us more attacking impetus. But as we all know, Wilder is seldom wrong.

However, given how well he did against Palace, I think we will see Freeman start against Leicester in place of Fleck, whether he recovers in time or not, and you will see some front foot football. McBurnie has also got to be close to a start but I couldn't guess as to whether it's Robinson or McGoldrick who would make way.

These are exciting times.
