...albeit it seems to be minor. Found this: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...with-Sheffield-United/articleshow/6288387.cms

It seem's we're branching out to India:

JAMSHEDPUR: Tata Football Academy (TFA) and Sheffield United Football Club (SUFC) announced a tie-up Tuesday to impart professional training to TFAcoaches and cadets.

As part of this tie-up, SUFC will formulate a 12-month programme on coaching, fitness and professional development of coaches. During the period, it will depute one coach and one fitness advisor.

While the coach in charge will impart lessons on technical aspects of the game, the fitness coach will advise the team on sports science, strength and conditioning work besides dietary requirements. The training will also include lessons on strategy for player recruitment, identification and profiling.

On an exchange visit as part of the curriculum, TFA coaches will visit SUFC academy to study the coaching pattern, strength and condition methods.

This apart, few outstanding cadets of TFA will have an opportunity to train at SUFC periodically.

"The tie-up will open a new chapter in offering advanced professional training for the cadets of TFA and give them an exposure to professional football.

"We look forward to the tie-up as a beginning of a new phase where we hope that our cadets will raise the bar in Indian football and hopefully improve its world ranking," said Sanjiv Paul of TFA

Tata Football Academy!

Is that the same Tata that owns Corus?

That fella is supposedly minted.

Wonder if he'll chuck a bit of loose change our way as a little thank you for all the effort we're putting in for the indians?

£50m ought to do it! :)

We spoke to them a loooong time ago, thought I'd posted about it at the time... will have a dig through the archives later :)
