Now Roger was a proper MASSIVE Blade. I remember him once receiving an award at Bramall Lane for supporter of the year after attending 300 consecutive home games. That's nearly 30 years worth! He lived and breathed United. Although poorly he still attended matches until just before lockdown. Last away game he attended was Spurs.
Came into the church to Annie's song. Well he would wouldn't he?
Will miss you at games Roger.

300 consecutive home games is a great achievement but id acknowledge this whether it was 30 or 300.

RIP Blade

RIP hope he got to see our most successful season like ever.

Seeing Roger at half time with my Dad and other usual suspects, at United matches was part of my growing up, being a Blade. His son Anthony was the year above me at school. Mad Unitedites both and I've only just reconnected with Ant on Twitter this past few weeks.

He was always incredibly friendly, would always listen to what others had to say about the match at half time and had time for everyone, young and old. He was one of those I enjoyed talking to about United. He was a patient, kind man who I never heard a bad word about.

I'm sure he will be sadly missed, especially to his family and to anyone who sat in the John Street Stand growing up and on away trips from Kiveton.

It's just a shame this COVID-19 still persists because the Funeral would have been packed to the rafters. At least Chris has given him the send off he could appreciate, knowing his beloved Blades are in safe hands.

RIP Roger

RIP fellow blade take your seat in the kop in sky with the far too many others that have passed over the recent years and condolences to all your family and friends 🔴⚪⚫️⚔

Hate to hear that. RIP and thoughts to the family

I said to Ant what a shame he couldn't have the send off he would have got in normal times. Yes, you're right, the church would have been packed. I'm sure Ant wouldn't mind me saying that he had condolences from Kevin McCabe and Alan Kelly amongst others.
