Im very annoyed
Once again we have a game won, sub off our best holding player and capitulate. Im getting cross. I like wilder but hes making the same mistake again and again

Jairo is not disabled. He can last 90 if he has to. And we need him to now and then. We've thrown away 29 points. Even saving 6 of them and wed be totally safe now.

Hugely frustrating

But what's the fix?

Wilder did well getting Jairo and Paddy in when he did. God knows where we'd be if he hadn't.

The worrying thing for me is looking at his JTW signings and is this a look into the future at how this summer will be?

Disagree regards the players mentioned.

Rothwell - quality at Leeds, genuinely laughably shite at Rangers.
Davies - decent one game out of three (usually those three games are all you get because he’s made from spaghetti hoops)
Phillips - busted flush, didn’t work at Ipswich/West Ham, has zero interest in busting a bollock to play as he’s a multimillionaire from getting a splintered arse at City.

I’m expecting this Summer to be a horror show
Everyone saying Wilder will be better without money
Based on his build in Div 1 then tweaking in the championship over 2 seasons
The Div 1 build is not going to happen at championship level

The really annoying thing about that for me is that

1) That’s all under Wilder - yes he might have inherited a summer transfer window from Selles however Bindon has been one of the better players the Selles recruited during that window. Wilder still had January and both the free transfers he brought in.

2) I know you aren’t going to win every game however even converting the 29 “lost points” which going off last season wasn’t an impossibility with the number of 1-0 wins etc we would be on 80 points in 2nd and 8 points clear of Millwall with 6 games left and without sounding too entitled our run-in from now until the end of the season shouldn’t be the hardest, we have the likes of Preston, Watford and Blackburn.

As crazy as it seems the Selles era isn’t too blame at all, yes it didn’t help however not only playoffs were achievable but so was automatics too under Wilder.

When fully fit they can but players often play with injuries are aren’t fully fit.

Yeah I can see that.

My worry is who's behind the scenes. When CW came in the 1st time he brought Paul Mitchell in who, even with his background at Chesterfield, had a great knowledge of the lower leagues.

I'm just hoping he can replicate the Summer '24 window but with far less money we're relying on the owners inputting some cash or him doing it on a shoestring.

I agree. Wilder put together a squad which gained 92 points last season. Why can he not do that again ?
If there is a manager who could achieve more than that AND is willing and able to join us then Wilder could be replaced, but that is a big gamble.
Of course it is easy to want to replace a manager when all is not well, but I would prefer to see what he puts together in the summer and then judge him. If he fails then he should go.

Its been COACHED into them! Peck plays 75% of his passes back towards his own goal. How many others do the same? The obsession with ball retention is killing the game for spectators. Sod off Guardiola!

Peck played an absolute beauty of a ball between the defenders first half, only for us to do the usual thing and take 300 touches and short passes in the box because no fucker is prepared to shoot. Why we have this obsession with trying to pass the ball into the goal is beyond me because we're shit at it and it doesn't work.

I don’t know why either but can only assume its drilled into them on the training ground and anyone who breaks free will get dropped if they do ‘owt different?

Us scoring another goal was a bonus and got us a point. We were always going to concede 3 with our piss weak mentality and poor substitutions.

We aren’t a team obsessed by ball retention at all, in fact we take far too many risks with the ball in poor areas.

Peck does play a good few ‘safe’ passes, however he played a good ball to Gus under pressure for the first goal and tried a few more good forward passes throughout the game.

Swansea were the ones obsessed with possession and they were absolutely shit at it. They only got a point because we’re spectacularly shit at defending.

I did say 75%
My issue is with how often, when faced with options to play passes in and around the opposition box, we end up cycling back to CB’s or the goalkeeper. It’s a modern obsession and not just our team - bores the pants off me
 
Again, leading all of a sudden, two goals given away, dropped 2 points. You can see after 70 minutes, the defenders are knackered.
Bindon again, Wrexham, same thing today, can't follow the goalscorer, nowhere to be seen, bad marking. Tangang has the same bad defence.
Wilder says rinse and repeat. He knows all the players are unfit, so I can't see us winning again this season.t all. All the loan players can go back to their clubs.
That's the easy part. The players who are injured a lot get rid. I think Hamer will be sold, along with one or two others.
So Chris Wilder will be busy. The problem will be if He gets the players he wants to sign and has a bad start to next season.
The American owners will have a big problem. Obviously, I hope we have a start to next season.
