Burrows was far far better with Anel next to him. Souttar tied the whole defence together, everyone was better as a result.

352 has possibly run it's course but would be interesting to see:

I've seen no end of talk of a 352 formation, Wilder's said continuously he wants to play with wingers.. we will not be going to a 352 again. His ego wont allow it. He tried it for 1 game last season against Bristol City away, to prove a point, and we lost so, in his head there's no way we will be playing that formation again.

Honestly I think 3-4-2-1 would work if we uncovered another diamond like Ndiaye

a proffesional football manager should be open to a few different formations he played with wingers yesterday and we were outnumbered in midfield and thats the problem with 442 and why birmingham had so much possesion the chris wilder of 2026 isnt half of the manager of 2016 was a massive fan of him then but hes had his best years here imo
