When Chris was asked directly about Anel an Souza he signalled all the signs of "something is afoot". Neck scratch, tight lipped and head tilt!

"Meyers says that a tight-lipped smile can indicate that an individual is perhaps holding a secret or at least holding something back. “If you are examining a witness that is indicating this behavior, you should explore the situation further.”

Facial gestures are among other clues of deceit. Take note of neck scratching and unusual head movements. “Liars will use their heads in odd ways,” Meyer says. For example, “they may try to sell you their lie by shaking their head excessively when they speak.”

“If they remain silent and tilt their head down to the side, attempting to avoid eye contact and thinking very carefully, something is afoot,” Meyer says.

Liars avoid eye contact, get defensive when they feel like they've been caught, and oversell their point to try to convince you that what they're saying is genuine. They also slump when they sit but then sit up as they try to sell their point and often take lots of sips of water.

There are loads of ways to spot a liar.

Mostly if they are members of the government.

If you unexpetedly fart while trying to explain that girbic is your no 1 keeper for next season, what does that mean?

Wilder might feel awkward as he's having an affair with the journalists wife?

Our two best players today. Souza will be head and shoulders above any other defensive midfielder in this division if he keeps up this form. Anel looked like the player from his first six months with us: superb defensively and carrying the ball out of defence brilliantly.

Well done today lads. Full blooded performance from both, definitely no sulking.

They are both top class at this level and keeping them was like 2 new signings.

Yeah, have to agree.
I thought Souza was MOTM, but Anel excellent too. Both stood out athletically & technically.

He carries the ball out of defense very well, it’s a trait that made me think he’d be good at the premier league level.

No one performs will in an underperforming and toxic workplace.

The headspace the players would have been in last year is properly grim.

The whole shtick of they are paid a fuck tonne of money, they should be able to deal with it is tiresome and plain wrong. Granted some players probably dealt with it better than others.

The mental side of the game is a big as the physical and technical sides. With good players not losing talent overnight.

Glad to see the players and club are obviously in a better place, keep winning, keep the momentum and keep up the performances

It's one of the reasons why Jack Robinson will always have a lot of credit for me. He was the only one who didn't let the negativity, the poor results or anything get to him last season. He put in the same performance and graft every game. That takes some serious mental bottle.
