How the hell can Wrexham be offering these big fees & wages all over the place without breaching FFP ?

But the lessons I’ve spoken of ring oh so true when we lost Soutter in November, didn’t replace till Jan and then didn’t really use him.

Spending the transfer fee money on Canon in Jan rather than an established PL ready CB will ALWAYS go down as a massive mistake in my book.

Losing another established PL ready CB in AA (he is, don’t anyone argue !), will leave an enormous gap for us to fill.

When the takeover happened, I had concerns about some of the things I was hearing, so my expectations weren’t particularly high at the time. That said, I was genuinely impressed by their early actions, including the decision to change manager so decisively.


However, I am starting to feel a bit concerned about the slow pace of recruitment. Still, I believe we’ll invest a decent amount before the window closes.

Arblaster we lost in November against those lot.
 

I was ok with these Yanks coming in a changing the whole football philosophy and I was genuinely excited BUT selling four first team players for me is extremely worrying and feels like we are going backwards.

The few players that have come in aren’t any better than the ones we have sold so this doesn’t feel like progression

The kids we signed today and Barry are only ours for a years cuz we ain’t going up at this rate.

Its obviously always been the plan
Hes barely featured in pre season
As far as I know he hasn't played with bindon

Out recruitment strategy seems to have spread the net wider but we still seem to leave it very late which does seem to have a knock on effect fitness wise later in the season

peeps know my thoughts from previous posts so I’m expecting more of “that’s because you know fk all like the rest of us” and of course the customary I’m a bed wetter

Like I said previously, I just hope this money due from sales is invested in the right way?

At the moment Selles looks like making an even bigger (passive) cockup of CB than Wilder , which I'd have hoped was impossible.
Get your finger out man and get us a dominant CB / Leader of defence , as our new captain.
And it needs to be a transfer because otherwise next summer we won't have a decent CB we can call our own.

Then Anel & Binden can compete to partner the expensive new man because neither of the former can lead a defence - Anel doesn't have the personality and Binden is too young.

Robbo shouldn't even be here , Baptiste & Sanauskis are development squad.

Come on Reuben , if you want promotion Robbo can't be the answer.

Even if Anel stays , we have needed a Holding type since January.

This is NOT about replacing Anel with one CB.
If he goes we need TWO.

Robbo , RND , Baptiste & Sanauskas are not worth a bag of beans if you want top two position.

Look at Burnley & Leeds CBs last season
And it's a harder league this season.

We seem to be sleep-walking.

We're not even talking about CBs or indeed RBs

Rumors of upto 14 mil. Feyenord bought a winning lottery ticket, and so....bye bye Anel, hello.......someone, please have someone lined up. Starting with Robbo is not encouraging.

Downside to the previous manager not getting us promoted.

Yeah the one thing i was happy about when wilder went was that it woukd see the end of the anel / robbo axis of anxiety but we seem to have got worse in that department
