I would agree but knowing our usual method of recruitment, he will get sold on the last day of the window, and then we get Robbo and Trusty injured and end up playing fleck and Norwood as Centre Backs. Feels like it would be better to see the season out and then sell him if we could

Where has all this talk of selling Anel actually come from? I have no idea why anyone would want to buy him based on his performances this season. Has easily been our worst defender and has totally thrown the towel in on 2 or 3 occasions when we were losing. That's unforgivable.

Apart from his first dozen or so games, he has been distinctly average for us. Clearly that was a one-off purple patch.

Is transfer value now Vrs July will be much higher. At this stage i say sell and maximise the value as much as we can. We're in tanking mode and if we end up with Bettis and Gary Sinclair at CB our final league placing is still going to be 20th...

Can definitely see an argument for doing things in January to put us in a better position for next season in the Championship (whether cashing in a player who is excellent at that level does that is another question). If we're doing that though, it should be part of an overall strategy. Doesn't seem to make sense to cash in on players with one hand and then bring in loans with no option to buy on the other.

Either prioritise trying to stay up or prioritise building for next season. I think it's too difficult to try and do both at the same time.

His reaction times are so slow ,always getting caught off guard like he forgets he's in the middle of a football match and has completely zoned out
I'd play him in the middle it seems to bring the best out of him either in the centre of a 3 or as one of a double pivot

But I’ll maintain that if we buy players for £x, get good / decent service out of them while here, and then move them on for significantly more than the £x we paid, then that’s not a bad way to carry on.

And suggests the players in question aren’t quite as bad as you might think !
