Last clough rant. I was just looking at a website complaining how we sacked clough when we were just about to sign a 20+ goal scoring striker, at first I agreed with them and then I thought that this could be why he was sacked, surely signing a striker is not priority at the moment.
Also you could think this gave them more evidence that he should be sacked as he has signed 4 strikers in his time, Che Adams, Matt Done, Marc McNulty and Higdon. Some of them looking promising but so far haven't really done well for us. Did the board think, "why should we sign a new striker? You have signed 4 already. Surely now you should be looking at getting the full potential out of them and signing some defenders." Does this show that Clough was unable to see the real problem of the defence and goalkeeper and was continually buying the same player, this is also shown in his non existence ability to fix the problem of set pieces and defenders and also making tactical changes when needed. After thinking about it like this you can see why he got sacked. He was an idiot.
