Interesting read that. The Ched verdict played a huge part against MK Dons and for the rest of the season. Also shows how much of a difference there is in wages between us and other teams in League One, can understand why players and their agents must have been rubbing their hands when they knew we were in for them.

The Ched verdict destroyed the squad moral at such a late stage in season. You could see it in the players at the time.

It was an awful injury Taylor got but he was nothing special before we signed him, we just needed a cheaper left back than the previous one at the time. Even then we still pissed away a lot of money on him.

Good read, I actually always liked Taylor at LB but sadly he's now a casualty on our long list of crocks. Confirms what we all knew really the Ched verdict played a massive part in our downfall that season. Just imagine, working closely with a bloke who you respected as a bloke and as a footballer then BAM, he's been put away for 5 years, for a crime you probably didn't think he committed. Be enough to mess anyones head up.

The rot started at this club with Robson
Brought some great players in on big money but the football on display ,the lack of passion and commitment was fucking dire

We never recovered from that

Robson's the main culprit, but we've had a few players who've summed up the lack of focus on athleticism, speed and drive over this lost decade (and I mean lost) - Players like Ryan Flynn and Andy Taylor epitomise this.

I suppose there was no way of stopping the verdict getting through to the players just before a game.

Oh yes since Robson the only difference has been the players have been gradually worse but the general tone of expectation was set by Robson and it's only now the cupboard is bare we can start over and rebuild

McCabe should shoulder the blame for this as he was the only one who wanted the AOL piss head

I cannot imagine how I would react if a colleague was convicted of rape, let alone how I would keep a team motivated under those circumstances. For him now to be found not guilty.........honestly if you didn't fucking laugh supporting this club you would probably go mad.

We were robbed of promotion, absolutely robbed in the cruellest possible way. Other factors played a part of course (lack of fit players as back up, the Pigs putting together an incredible run at the right time) BUT the conviction was the 99%.

Don't tell the Pigs though, apparently we just bottled it!

Pathetic Robson wasnt very good but blaming him for our current predicament is laughable. Robson was over 8 years ago only one consistently since then is McCabe.

"I was out of contract and had barely played in 15 months. In my own mind I was a Championship player and didn’t respond to offers from League One clubs"

Oh my word.

The reason he was on 5k p/w is because he was signed when we were in the Championship with top 6 aspirations. Still too much for him, but when did we ever just pay what we needed to...

I've made that point a hundred times before.

He was convicted on a Friday afternoon ,he would have been playing and scoring if the verdict had gone the other way ,so no not really/

Poor player
Never played well
Often injured
Missed very important penalty

I would rather forget him than read what he has to say.
