From Nigel & Andy, to Nigel & Andy.

Dean Wilkins, who he inherited from Pardew at Southampton, was also a coach that followed him to Reading and was sacked along with Adkins/Crosby at both clubs. Assume it'll be him or Morgs in the team.

Time for Morgan to go, not needed at all plus I think he needs a fresh challenge.

And is this based on your full knowledge of his contribution and influence around the club on a daily basis or on the fact that he used to be a big lump of a centre half and therefore he doesn't really understand the finer points of the game?

Morgs will obviously be disappointed that the collective support of Hill, Porter and Warnock just wasn't enough to secure himself the top job. But I suspect he's happy to stay on. And Adkins's kept on Wilkins in his team, who himself had been caretaker boss at Southampton, so he's not averse to keeping people on if he thinks they are worth keeping on. We'll quickly find out if he thinks that.

If Andy Crosby comes with the Adkins deal then I welcome him. He is a good lad from Maltby and was a pretty useful centre half in his playing days as a boy and professional. I also doubt this "centre half" will be exiled for falling out with our manager ;).

But if he doesn't want him to stay, he should be allowed to release him..

Pretty much hits the nail right on the head there pal plus don't forget he's also a Blade. He has no influence around the club if he did he would have been in the frame for the top job.

Played well against us in our 3-2 defeat at Scunthorpe in Sept 2007. There was a moment about him that has stuck in my mind since then... during the 1st half (think they were leading 2-0 at the time) there was a lull in play (think a player was injured and having treatment) waiting for Scunny to take their corner at the away end. I was watching Martin Paterson, who had scored and was causing us problems, who seemed to be giggling at Paddy Kenny (dont think he was aware of the giggling) for some reason and walked over to Andy Crosby, whispered something in his ear and then Crosby laughed! Still dont know what was humouring Crosby and Paterson!

New coach Dean Wilkins is, incidentally, brother of Ray. Thought he looked familiar.
