Just seen this, Andy Butler is up for League One player of the month which is to be announced tomorrow morning. He has guided Doncaster to an unbeaten month keeping 2 clean sheets in the process, he has also scored.

What happened with Butler? Will we ever know? Out of all the signings he was the only one who was imposing enough to nod in set pieces. I don't think he did that much wrong and in my opinion didn't really get a fair crack of the whip? And we got rid of him and the made a makeshift back four with full backs.

Anyway it looks like he is enjoying himself at Rovers and doing something right? Just curious as to what went on.

I heard that he been promised the Captain's role, and there was some sort of confrontation with Doyle on the training pitch, which ended in Butler saying to Clough "do you pick the teams or does he?", or something along those lines. Could all be rubbish of course, just hear say.

On saying that, he was woeful at Burton pre-season, being at fault for at least two of their four goals I thought. Then again, the while team looked bad that day.

Surprised Walsall did not take him back unless Donny outbid them.

I heard the main fallout over the summer was with Doyle and Collins.

I guess Butler walked in and assumed he would get the armband from Doyle.
