He sweet talked the stewards to explain how he permission to take it in and put it in the corner (obviously, he didn't have any such thing).

I too am a fellow Cremorne dweller on my trips back down south, so I mebbes rubbed shoulders with him.
Had someone pointed out he was the guy behind that flag on that most glorious of occasions, I’d have bought him a pint, on repeat, every time I saw him.
