Im sure it was before that ,late 70s I reckon ,I will ask my mates later. Kin Alzheimers :(

We had three County Cup games with Wednesday at the Lane in the mid 7os. Two in 75-76 (L1-2 and W2-0) and one in 76-77 (W2-0). We didn't play another County Cup game at the Lane with them until our last ever CC game in 81-82 (W3-2, though that was reserve teams).

reckon it will be 76/77 ,my last year at school. They used to take our kop early on , well before kick off.

Just as we always took theirs at the Sty in the sixties and early seventies(and kept it). Remember singing a version of the mint advert to them there "United fans are a little bit stronger, Wednesday fans are a little bit weaker". Strange that we always turned out in bigger numbers at theirs than at the Lane and vice versa.

In Sharpe as a Blade 2, Ronnie explained that Wendy took the Kop in Woody's testimonial in May 1974. I wasnt at the game as I was at boarding school. My dad wrote a letter to me to say that he was disappointed with the attendance as Woody deserved better
