It is said that the top scorer of French 3rd division who is followed by a number of French first division clubs could either join Beerschot or Sheffield since he is owned by Chateauroux and needs a step up.
Imagine he’ll be going to you guys over the summer we’re still in transition and will be until a new boss is appointed.

Unrelated question what are the big holes in your squad going into the summer? I wonder if we’ll see a few more players go on loan from united to beerschot.

We need a left back, centre back, a back up central midfield, 2 wingers and a striker who can finish. This is if we don’t lose Holzhauser and Coulibaly. If they would leave we need a box to box and playmaker too.
I assume we will first look if Chateauroux has decent players. Loan players is certainly something they should look into. Makes no sense to send players to other clubs if a club in the group can use them. We loaned a striker to Chateauroux last winter and wanted to send a central defender but he refused and preferred to sit on the bench.

Kyron Gordon and Tyler Smith?

Are there any rules on maximum amount of loan players from one club?

We have a surplus of leftbacks so it might make sense if we were to send one to you on loan if we don’t sell this summer. We have a young midfielder (slater) who’s done well this year out on loan down the leagues but it might be a step to far to go to beerschot this summer I’m not sure on the standard ditto for a young striker (smith).

Outside that we have a promising crop of youngsters coming through but all of them other than ndiaye (a versatile striker who can play wide in a 3) are probably a year or two away from being ready to regularly play men’s football.

No rules in Belgium… we have one of the most flexible transfer systems in the world. That’s the reason we have many clubs that are owned by groups of clubs and het many loan players. Cercle Brugge is the reserve side of Monaco, OHL is owned by chairman of Leicester, Lommel by City group, Union by chairman of Brighton, Seraing just promoted to first division is owned by Metz, Moeskroen just relegated are owned by Lille, Oostende are in the group of Barnsley, Beveren have links with Crystal Palace, etc. That’s why there are many foreign talents active in our leagues. Lommel in Belgian second division have some South American players for which city group paid millions.

I hope they give a try. Maybe with a summer trial first and then they can see if they have the level to get game time.

Worth remembering one of our more promising lads went over this season and has made little or no impact. If you’re looking at kids you need to be looking at those who are in theory already good enough at Championship level.
Not sure there’s too many, Slater has just got himself into the Hull side and is open to staying there next season. Not sure who else is ready at that level tbh.

I’d be fairly confident in one of our leftbacks being good enough for you. Osborn and Lowe have looked average at prem level but they’re good players with plenty of heart and the young lad RND has done well at champ level.

You're giving Phil an aneurysm 😉

Lowe is a decent shout as there’s a player in there. I would say that depends on Enda’s future he could see his path with us blocked next year. I do think Enda could get back to his previous levels at a lower level but as with Bash and the other old guard their performances next season are largely irrelevant to our future as they’ve proven we would need alternates if we go up.
So, there we go I’ve talked myself into it. Lowe is the choice to go on loan, Enda is moved on if possible, or kept for the season where he’ll do a great job. If Lowe plays well in Belgium then he’ll certainly deserve a place the following season with us or may even fancy a permanent move aboard.

Lowe isn’t a bad shout at all for the reasons outlined. Think we’ll find Enda hard to shift this summer based on his performance levels and the first team deal he’s no doubt on. Even if he were to move on though it would still leave us with Osborn and RND capable of ably playing leftback and 2 senior players is enough to cover that spot.

I think Ndiaye is another good shout.
At his age he now needs to be playing first team football. Isn't he 21?

Brunt could be another, although he may get a L1 loan till Xmas?

I just wonder if it’s a level above Ndiaye and Brunt, L1 would seem about a right balance between suitable challenge and confidence development.

George Broadbent is miles ahead of all the other slaves being mentioned as potential trafficked footballers on this Dark Web thread. And he can't get near the Beerschot first team. But, you know....

Andrew Jung was back to training today at Châteauroux.
Last I heard, Nancy (L2) still wants the player but hasn't made a better offer than € 300,000 (Berrichonne wants around 1 million)
It is said that KV Ostende (Belgium) could recruit him and loan him to AS Nancy-Lorraine, as they have already done with Thomas Basila (F.C. Nantes)
Nancy cannot pay but both clubs are part of the same PMG group.

Is there any chance of Coulibaly or Holzauer coming over to Bramall Lane this season?

Coulibaly is possible I think, will depend on your new manager, the player himself and what the owners think is the best route to further develop him and his market value. I think it will be 50/50 chance. Holzhauser I can’t see happening. If he goes I think it will be to a club playing European football.
