And That's What Happens When You Sit Back

Wilson is responsible for this IMO. This isnt the first time this season its happened, so its either hs tactics or his fault for not sorting it out.

or the fact we have a lot of younger inexperienced players trying to bed in

Wilson has to juggle thin resourses, a lot less capable players than recent managers have had , give him a break

Everyone back to defend a corner = inexcusable that there should be no one up front - Robson used that tactic and it's utter crap because there is absolutely no "out ball"

No one forward for an attacking free kick = WTF? Might as well not fecking bother to turn up - that's the message it sends out to us, isn't it?

Oh, almost forgot - been too busy and too pissed off since 'however minutes past five' it finished (play to the fecking whistle) We were absolutely fecking shocking on Satdi and got what we deserved.

Oldham were no more snidey than anyone else we have played and if they had a young, inexperienced 'keeper playing I would expect our lads to put him under some sort of pressure - by fair means or foul - to unsettle him - in fact I agree with Micalijo  (shock horror) - they wanted it more than our lads and we bottled it.

I heard Danny say that when I drove home. Maybe the fact Danny doesn;t give the team a few home truths is half the problem and he should have backed his captain up, even though he was probably our worst player in the 1st half
credit to doyle though.. he admitted it live on air

I don't buy the "younger, inexperienced players" bit any more. On Saturday only Long (4), Cofie (10) and Blackman (42) had played fewer than 50 first team games in England and we had as many players aged over 30 - Hill (31), Doyle (31), Kitson (32) - as under 21 - Long, Maguire and Cofie (all 19).

Yes, Wilson has got arguably the worst United squad in the last 15 years but that squad is playing in what is by far the worst league in that time.

I don't expect United to win every game. However, I do think that we should be giving it a damn good go and Saturday's performance simply wasn't good enough.

Wilson has some serious thinking to do before the Preston game.

Im not sure I agree with this. How come that even the experinced players suddenly go negative? Where was Kitson for the free kick with 10 odd to go? And it certainly seems our more experienced players are the ones playing the long balls to no one in particular.

He may have a lot less capable players and Im not saying we should be thumping everyone 5 nil, Im just questioning why we go all negative when we score, we've shown we can score and that when we play even with this less capable squad we are better than most teams we've played. Why stop doing that when we score?
