Sorry to get all BTL on you all but I've seen and read so much worry about Luton, even Boro after Friday night and how we are still worried we could be caught because of the amazing form of the chasing pack....

Well to put some minds at ease, over the last 5 games, business end of the season, teams have amassed the following:

Middlesbrough - 7 points

Luton (aka Real Madrid) - 11 points

Mighty Blayards - 12 points

And now you're gonna believe us etc...

This would not even be in the top four of Blades fuck-ups 1981 ,1994 ,2007 , 2012 had far more bad luck factors attached to them. 2003 more like

In 2012, after 40 games, we had 83 points, the oinkers had 77 points. After that, they picked up 16 from 18, we scraped 7 from 18 and they ended up 3 points clear in automatic.

Admittedly, we don’t have a Ched incarceration scenario this time around, but it maybe prudent not to be tallying the chickens just yet……

You have Luton getting 4 wins from 4?
That's the only scenario where we'd need 8 points.
I don’t think they will however it’s possible, no point suggesting it’s not, even if it’s less likely

7 or 8 points takes them out regardless so may as well aim for that

And the 1967 fuck up.

4 games to play to avoid relegation from the then First Division. 3 at home one away. Lost at home with Wham 1-2, beat Burnley away 2-0, lost to Fulham at home 2-3 (after being 2-0 up) then lost at home with Chelsea 0-1. Relegated.

The Pressure is all on us , the other top clubs have nothing to lose , just like next week , Man City beat Burton 9-0 , so thats a semi record not about to be broken .

1 game at a time boys.

I've mentioned multiple times how much I'm not particularly bothered about the cup, I'd have been fine with us going out first round but for me, despite being the fixture it is, is just something I can relax and enjoy. I doubt the lads will be thinking that but besides loss of winnings the result is neither here nor there for us. Its a match were expected to lose, against a team way ahead of us in many ways. Win against Bristol on Tuesday and they should turn up Saturday confident and happy were maintaining the points gap.

Well within our capabilities, just one game at a time

My sphincter is rock solid and will remain so. We are capable of feckin this up, let’s be honest we’ve hardly been convincing since beating Burnley.
You’re right

But my bottom is decidedly quivering

Why do so many football fans everywhere have a desire to prematurely ejaculate.

If it's not predicting doom and gloom, it's getting ahead.

We're in a very strong position with an opportunity to get close to finishing line in 48 hours.

Enjoy the ride....hopefully 😉. We'll soon know anyway.

Whilst the reducing number of games is good from one perspective for us - fewer games to catch us and all - it does bring with it the increased likelihood (not that it is necessarily likely) that someone could win all remaining games.

That was bonkers talk when there were 10 games remaining. With only 4 remaining it isn't so unlikely.

Although I would also note that Luton's best return from any 4 match sequence is 10 points (which they have done 3 times since Jan)

Lost 1-2 Chelsea..

If we lose on Tuesday, Luton will play twice before our next game and could be above us by one point. Have to get something on Tuesday.

That would ruin the day out at Wembley.

Have to get something on Tuesday.
We probably will get something on Tuesday but we really don't 'have to'.

Fact is we are just as likely, if not more likely to get more points than any of the chasing pack, as recent form suggests. Even if your scenario above pans out, we would still be odds on favourite for second place, that's how good a position we are in. Be positive!

Their 4 remaining matches being :Reading away, Middlesborough home, Blackburn away, Hull home.

All of which, the way those teams are currently performing, are winnable for Luton.

Its not over till its over.

Real Madrid 😄 we've been called worse.

I think you lads have enough to see it over the line, but it's gonna be bloody close if we can keep winning.

Good luck at Wembley.

All valid points BP. I’m just pointing out that a poor result on Tuesday could lead to a change of mind set and unwanted pressure. The Gooners are a good example of that. UTB!

Reading are fighting relegation and have just held Burnley.
Boro’ have just smashed Norwich and will be desperate to catch us or at least be third.
Blackburn will still be trying to get in the play offs.
Looks like four points to me !!

We beat Brizzle

Enjoy the Semifinal

Luton v Borough

Either a draw or a borough win

Then promotion at the Preston game

You think we will lose against WBA?
Not at all
In fact I think we a more than good enough to win all our remaining games.
But watching the way referees are reluctant to protect McAtee / Ndiaye / Sharp / McBurnie being pulled back etc, yet quite happy (correctly) penalise & book
Bash / Anel / Robbo / Baldock
I can always see a penalty or sending off screwing at least one or 2 games for us
Whilst we don’t get penalties.
So I can see us losing or drawing a couple of games due to the referee. But I’ve no idea which games 🙄

Not sure if you are aware that we play WBA before Preston?
