Good job we'd already given up on the next four games and didn't need to worry about a new boss.
Y'all may as well concentrate on the Xmas sales because they'll be no point watching that shower of shyte over the next week.
God bless those going to Norwich. A true act of blind faith.

Well at least today's game put paid to the idea that Calver is the man to take us forward. Wouldn't worry about our away following Len, if we don't quickly appoint a manager who is able to capture the imagination then our home attendances will speak for themselves and the hierachy will have no one else to blame but themseves.

Hang on, I thought this was supposed to be a good thing? Thank God we've shed all these 10/15/20 time served want-it-now types?

Aye, one of the saving graces was the end of any notion of Carver being manager.
Though why we would want anyone remotely connected to the current car crash was always beyond me/
Today spoke volumes for why we need a completely new approach.

Another saving grace might be the ability to get that plank Evans out of our club.
Punt a video of him scoring a couple of goals around and there might be some suckers out there dumb enough to take him on.

The same Evans that despite all that's going on still manages to score? Yes, lets get rid of him. <shakes head in disbelief>

The really frustrating thing is the complete contrast between the two halves, because it was 45 minutes of car crash as you say, but followed by 45 minutes of much better than that. I realise you know that and you're being provocative.

In fact, the game was typified by our Ched. He looked clueless in the first half, showing his usual lack of instinct and why on earth it would be a good idea for him to isolate himself on the wing as our lone striker, lack of confidence presumably. In the second half, he was completely different, though he did have more support. It was a good header and his second was a predatory striker's goal.

For me, and with the benefit of hindsight, United's biggest mistake was going for the three points in injury time and if we'd got the point we deserved, your predictable post couldn't have happened.

Out of interest, did you think any of ours played well? I did.

I only saw the first half yesterday, the worst football seen at BDTBL for many many years. I did the decent thing and substituted myself at half time to the pub. As for Ched Evans, words fail me, but having said that, what the hell are we doing playing one up front at home? As for your question in the first half not one player played well, apart from Nosworthy who i thought kept his usual high standards today!!!!!!!!

Oh dear Len, that plank Evans has scored 4 in his last 5 starts. Not a bad return at any level. I suggest the plank is somewhat closer to home.

But costing us a hell of a lot more.

Indeed, what we paid/pay for him doesn't effect his strike rate though.

Would people still have the same opinions if their costs were reversed?

It's not that I dislike Wardy or love Ched or anything.... I just don't understand the desperation to get one of them onto the pitch and the other one off.

Percentage strike rate in a blades shirt anybody? answer - SHITE

His overall strike rate has been poor granted but if you're into strike rates alone he's the best player in the country on current form then? You can't have it both ways. Maybe if you get off the kids back (yep he's leading the line for us at 21), his strike rate would improve even further. Just a thought.

If i wasnt doing my job properly everybody would be on my back, even if i was 21. If you aint good enough get another job, or in the real world take a pay cut or leave - simple.

On current evidence he is doing his job properly. Most people have been on his back because he's been lazy and not getting himself into scoring positions. Well that wasn't the ched i saw yesterday. The second goal only came about through his determination, and the first was a good header, from a player in a perfect position to receive a great pass.

Co-incidence that Ched's goal streak has come about now we've got someone in the team capable of giving him decent service?

I hope you prove me wrong, unlike some on here who are always right and cant see further than the end of their nose

Since Reidy came, how many goals from open play has he not been involved in? Very few. We barely score any but when we do he is nearly always involved. Good point about Evans sparking a bit when Reidy plays.

Off the top he's scored at Millwall, set up Yeatesy at Leicester, Evans twice. I thought Reidy gave the ball away alot yesterday but he's always trying to pick a decent pass and we will miss him horrendously if and when he leaves.

Why can't people see beyhond the end of their noses? They giving their opinion as well. It differs from yours, Ched has made plenty of mistakes and I don't think he was our worst player in the first half by along shot he had two big centre halfs climbing all over him and we just kept punting balls at him. He still managed to bring the ball down a few times and tried to bring Reid, Quinn and Yeates into play, but everyone had bad day at the office in that first half. Its obvious they got the kick up the ass they deserved in the dressing room and we not only came out with passion but we thought about the game more, we took a little more time and players actually moved around and wanted to possesion more, and we played some lovely football in places but mixed it up well with the long ball in others. Personally I think you would have enjoyed the second half alot more.

I agree we'll miss him and as well as finding at least one of our own centre halfs in January its paramount we either keep him if we can afford to or bring in a player who can do the job he can.

Absolutely, if ever there was a time to get rid of the plank it is now.
Get the tape together, show the goals, talk about him being schooled at Man City and hopefully someone will pay £500,000 for him.
You gotta feel sorry for the Hull centre half and the stick he's going to get for being the first defender in the history of time to concede a header against Chedwyn.

says it all about you really doesn't it....when the going gets tough for the team you apparantly support, you go to the pub rather them backing them in a fightback. W are in a relegation scrap and the team need support and not the 'football manager' generation throwing the toys out of the pram when things don't go their own way. I

You'll be dispaapointed to learn that we played well in the 2nd half(swiched to 4-4-2),Nos wasn't the car crash he was in the 1st half and the team literally fought for each other which the fans appreciated.

How can you give a balanced view when you only see half a game is beyond me.......another 'bladesmad' contribution which seems to be happening more and more on this board

Really it doesn't matter how many goals he scored for us since he signed, it's his current form that matters. Rather have a player scoring goals now than one that scored a barrel load last season but not now. What's gone is gone. It's how he plays from now on that matters. Same with regards to the first half performance, it's gone. Second half showed what we can do, both positive and negative.
