The Championship seems to be full of Premiership wannabes spending silly money on players who, ultimately, may be more concerned with their bank balance than the club they're playing for.
With co-chairman, manager and captain as Blades we have a unique proposition. No Bertie big bollocks but a strong team spirit backed by an incredible following (as evidenced by season ticket sales). In nearly 50 years a Blade I can't ever remember being so excited by an upcoming season.
Yes, what Bigbirdblade said.

'Premiership wannabees' or chronic gamblers chucking their last quid at joining the 'promised land'? The good news about Wolves, Villa etc. splashing the cash is that it negates Wendy's profligance. We're in for quite a ride next year and anything other than slipping back into Div. 3 will do me.

As you say, I'm excited about 2017-18 but it can't possibly beat the season just gone, can it?

To tide us over the next 5 weeks, here's summat I've been knocking up.

Imagine genuinely challenging in the Championship, and ultimately going up and being successful in the top flight whilst maintaining our philosophy.

We could change English football for the better. Surely clubs will look at us and think 'Alright then, bollox to spending tens of millions on players, let's find a Wilder'.

Money will probably prevail, but it's a nice thought.

I just so hope you are right Stevie B.

....the Blades are going up.
Looking forward to Roy's view from Stocksbridge toneet.
100% start, none conceded and on fire up front.
Premier league here we come. ;)

That'll be good, reading Roy's view from Stocksbridge. Having lived near there a few years ago Roy will need an interpreter - but those 12 fingered Stocksbridge typists will be hammering away as I write this.

Graf, I'll never criticise anyone who can build a website as I wouldn't know where to start, and the content is great, but man that green hurts my eyes! :)

Yes, much calmer, thanks :)
Dunno if this is all your site but the links to ours and the pigs O/S and the one for the Scimitars in the Sports section don't work mate.

They do now! (well, us & pigs - Scimitars are no more). Anyway, thanks for that - it's a nightmare keeping everything accurate and current. If you see owt else - I'll be in the pub!

Seems optimistic, it was only stocksbridge we played no big team!

Though I like he confidence and we should take that into the season, but I feel the squad unfortunately is not yet good enough!

Even worse, they'll be driving.

Magic. How much did the copyright licence to use the Blades pictures set you back?
