And herein, ladies and gentlemen, lies the problem

We’ll see how cowardly they are against Bristol Rovers. This really is the defining game for me. Are they being outclassed every week by better opposition or are they simply not putting the required effort in. This is the first time they’ve encountered so called inferior opposition this season. If they can’t get out of their defensive mindset and muster up several goal scoring opportunities in this one. They really are taking the fucking piss. Conversely if Chris Wilder doesn’t pick the strongest 11 available for this one, my stout defence of his position, will take severe dent.

We might get through, we might get beat.
But one thing I do know is we won't be the best team

They'll be right up for this, if they can finish a chance off, we've had it

Imagine if these displays were in front of us the fans. We wouldn’t have stood for it. Letting players run from inside their own half unchallenged. It’s ridiculous.

It’s about time the players earnt their wages. We need battlers not wimps. Men not boys. Just because we played in pink it’s not acceptable.

We are Sheffield United and let’s show everyone that we can win football matches. As Bassett once said - Attitude, Commitment and Character. That’s what we need. Come on!!!

It's not a man's game anymore, there aren't many big characters about who are going to give it what for when we're losing, they're all pampered little boys who will just meekly sit and accept result after result. I suppose that's where people turn to the old school Allardyce/Pulis/Warnock up and at em type managers who take the complication out of the game when times are hard, whereas we play a complicated system that if it doesn't work, we're screwed because the whole squad is wired that way.

I grew up watching people like Alan Shearer, Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira, back end of Vinnie Jones' career, Steven Gerrard. The sorts of players that if you're on the pitch with them would run through brick walls for the team and you dare not let them down. We don't seem to have anyone like that, it's the sort of character that seems to have disappeared out of the game generally with the watered down nature of things.

I bet Roy Keane would sooner die than be on Twitter "we go again boys", posting his latest Fortnite score or a picture of his Christmas tree.
But we had them last season. They were awesome up until lockdown. What has gone wrong? Other than we don’t play the same football anymore?

Two pretty much back to back promotions are huge. You're winning pretty much every week and you are full of confidence, and there's huge momentum too.
When you're not at your most confident, and that momentum has stalled, it comes down to which side has the most quality.

'Quality' is the key word and the lack of players staying in the PL after relegation will highlight that.

The fact that Eze wasn’t even sprinting speaks volumes about us and our season.

Can you remember what happened when we went in at Chelsea 2-0 down at half time Ollie?

I’d potentially add Burke to the (quality isn’t there) list and on this season maybe even Egan.

Burke lacks quality but at least gives it a go. Egan, hmmm. Very good player but I feel the absence of JOC has impacted him. He doesn't lack quality as such, but maybe lacks top end pace.

He's obviously a very good Centre Back but his limitations as the last man have been exposed a few times this season.
