Excellent interview, heartfelt, eloquent and mature. He still wants to play I think, but if not get him up to Shirecliffe and groom him as a coach.

Always been edgy, far from an angel but someone you'd like on your side.

Always liked Jack and I'm pretty sure he'll have a continuing career in football.

Good luck Jack

All the best Jack

Keep us up to date if he ends up shifting on without it being covered in the local press Coops :)

In fact, why have we never had a Q&A article from you with him? :D

7 goals in 10 starts this season? We don't have the goalgetter type in the squad. Would he be able to get shots in if thrown on late in games like Kevin Phillips?

Always liked him and I think he's really well liked at Chesterfield.

Quite surprising that he's being let go, he's got a decent record for grabbing late goals

He could be the 'Peschisolido' that we need

hes a pig isnt he ?

No he isn`t.

It depresses me that someone I went to school with is probably nearing retirement. looks like I might have to put those dreams of representing the RAWW to one side...

Also whilst i was at school, he was clearly a "good footballer", but i never really saw him as "professional footballer good" *.

Which probably proves the old adage that if someone is better than you at something, it doesn`t matter if its 1% or 1000%, they are just better than you, and you can't comprehend how much...

*especially if he'd been in the Banner for stint the night before

he would have been a better option from the bench for us than that big lump herman munster these last few years.

You think that is bad. We already have a number of players older than my soon to be 21 year old daughter, but with De Girolamo, we now have a younger player than my soon to be 18 son

:-)

And yet still you never quite give up hope that one day you'll make it as a professional footballer, regardless of age, lack of talent, fitness etc!

Indeed, just like hoping United will one day win at Wembley

I am in my 40's and still hope to get spotted, I play 5's every friday night at the local sports centre if any scouts want to come and have a look.

P.s I am the svelte one in the blades shirt!!!

That's interesting. I knew him really well from the age of about 5 till 11 when he went to a different school. I can distinctly remember that he could run faster with a ball than I could run full stop. Mind you, that ain't saying much.

I always thought he'd be a footballer.

You'll never know how close we came to losing him to Morris Dancing though ;)

I've never seen anyone win a penalty as much as Lester. in 2003-04 i am sure we had about 12 penalties.

Also enjoyed him smashing the ball into the face of an ipswich player when he was on the floor. at 15 I thought it was hilarious
