What would the damage be on this fella if we tried to sign him?

Affordable? I don't think he's premier league material, but 20 goals in a season from midfield is nothing to be sniffed at.

And how is he only 26 as well? He's been around for ages!

I imagine more affluent Championship clubs than us will be after him.

Personally I'd sign him to a contract for life today! :D

And who would they be?

Most of the division is skint. I don't think he'll go for more than 2million. Palace are desperate to sell. I'd prefer us to offload sharp for 1-1.5 million and use the money on ambrose.

He'll almost certainly be off to QPR - perhaps fairly soon if Palace need the cash to save them going under.

A bargain at that price, not injury prone or a loanee so our board won't be interested.

Does the whole wages thing just go over everyones heads? We can't compete with QPR on wages I would of thought that was obvious.

I think the whole wages thing is Bollocks, just saying that as I see a TV Screen full of Tangerine, some Parade or sumat ......... McCabe has more excuses than Blackwell

Far more factors in QPR's favour- location, finances, Ambrose used to play under Warnock, probably better chances of doing well next season...

....an Agent.....

Is there any actual evidence of this? Their wage bill against ours for last season? I know they got some mega-rich people in a couple of years back but struggling to think of any marquee type signings made since. So far it's all been smoke and mirrors.

Spent about £12 Million since the take over haven't they on transfers?

Over the last three years their spend is about 100k less than ours, according to Soccerbase. But the issue was wages wasn't it?
