Ahhh the old Ifill / CKR arguement neither having been replaced unless people think Gillespie or a few lightweight loanees are the answer, and yes CKR went on the cheap as do most of our players.

If he went on the cheap.... we pulled off one hell of a deal to bring him in in the first place! Take a bow Sir Terrance of Robinson!

I went to quite a few away games that season whenever I could.

I'm guessing you went to alot? What's the point when they showed no ambition.

No I didn't moan About CKR because i already knew Quite Alot about CKR & i also knew that he had alot of Talent and that is why i was Really Happy when we signed him.

people keep on mentioning his so called Arrogance & What not but if we could get 11 players like him who are not afraid of no one and are not scared to run at Teams like the rest of our current squad are then i would be happy.

Who gives a flying f*ck about his so called Attitude every performance i saw from CKR He gave it 100% and got stuck in & never shirked a challenge or got the mardys on like some of our current crop off.

As for Ifill I knew he was Without Doubt one of the Best Players Still Left in the Championship as he had vast Experience at Millwall playing 250 games for them I had watched him many times previously & saw that he had some real Quality about him as his Stats would later prove at the end of the Scoring 9 With 8 Assists something which we have not come close to seeing since from a Midfielder.


One thing that i have found at our club is that every time we get a Player with abit of skill or Flair some Numptys try & hound them Out Carney will be the next one i am sure.:shakehead:

mmmmmmmmm one more goal...............with some sensible transfer dealing SUFC would have got it maintained Premiership status and grabbed some of the lucrative TV money, with no other team in the Premiership East if the Pennines from Boro in the North to Villa in the South what a great catchment area for SUFC to attracted new Blades from.......... another opportunity missed.

Now answer this one... with stakes so high why did SUFC not invest in some QUALITY players ? Lack of AMBITION perhaps ?

Perhaps you'd like to explain where this investment would come from??

Perhaps, I don't know, McCabe went to the limit at hat time with this investment?

So what next?

Ambition does not equal cash unless I do not understand the language.

To be fair, it would seem that if this clause hadn't of been put in he wouldn't have signed the contract and we would have lost him when his value was still only £4 million anyways.

If warnock had been Given More Cash he could have Kept us up Easily but he wasn't but Warnock was to Blame aswell because of His Negativity away from Home.

It's time for McCabe & The club to Put there money were there mouth is in the summer Substantial Funds with a capital S was his statement to our fans.

Yet in reality we never spent a penny because they money we did Spend we got back through sales and were still Millions in Profit.

This season has left a Bitter taste in my mouth & Left me wondering whether our club is taking us Fans for a set of Mugs.

I know what your Saying but if Robinson had said Right Im Slapping say a 7M price Tag on your Head that would have been alright I don't think Jags was the Kind of Player To say right if you don't put a Reasonable clause fee in then i'll run my contract down.

As per usual we were robbed yet again in Transfer Dealings.

Players like Curties Davies going for 10m Andy Johnson 8m From the Championship the list is endless.:shakehead:

It's always good to look back at things with hindsight.

Maybe we could have spent some more money on so called QUALITY players and still got relegated leaving us with a massive wage bill and in a worse financial situation than we are now.

My opinion is that perhaps there will never be a better time for investment at BDTBL than in the Premiership season. Wobble gom McCabe had been tellin everybody and his dog how AMBITIOUS SUFC are/were.

I know it's My choice I choose to watch United But what i don't pay my Money for is to be Taken for a Mug by our Chairman when he Promises us Substantial Investment in the First team then doesn't Fulfil his promises.

Then Floppo spends a bundle of cash on SHITE and big wages and SUFC are far from safe in the Championship.
