most on here can take a rational balanced view, I for one have reservations about the squad,style of football etc, some posters however are CONSTANTLY negative, their criticisms are never constructive beyond calls for sackings etc, it is hard to engage someone in reasoned discussion if they take such a blinkered and repetitive attitude, therfore others lose patience and end up telling them to do one, in the same way that if you shared an office/pub/house with someone like Beighton you would tire of talking to them.
I'm all for a wide range of opinions just not constant moaning and bleating

Beighton's post are becoming a little tedious. He is purely and simply a wind up merchant looking for a reaction. Hence he should be prepared for a little bit of stick. My care bear post was purely meant as banter. Beighton knows who I am (we often go to Meadowhall on match days ;-) ) and knows that I am just mucking around. I disagree with insults (in my view if you insult someone you've lost the debate/argument) but if you post things such as 'cheap as chips will feck it up' looking for a reaction you have to expect a bit of a ribbing. Insults no, friendly banter yes.

Did you see my post? It's just a bit of banter. We've had this kind of running banter on Unitedite before.

I usually scald people for rising to his bait. I have posted more than once not to rise to his wind up posts, debate his inflamatory comments etc.

People may have taken my post the wrong way. But it's just a bit of a laugh. I am seriously against insults, but people need to lighten up on here and (at times) have a bit of a laugh.

The high wages paid in my opinion was down to bad management and for most part money wasted.

Look at his key people on the property side and compare them to the footballing side, no ambition is the conclusion i reach.

I agree Fleety (won't ever get used to that Jim Chimmerney). He's also made available funds for new players that we've not seen from many previous Chairmen, especially when we were in the Prem.

As any company director, McCabe will surround himself with what he feels is the right team. As for the football management, he's employed 2 managers (let's not bring up Robson ) that have achieved promotion (and unfortunately relegation), play-off finals and kept us at the top of the championship without spending buckets.

For what its worth I agree with you 100% BB. Playing the way we do Blackwell will always come in for heavy criticism as soon as we get a poor result as many fans will only put up with the garbage he produces when we are winning. As for McCabe he is sadly lacking on the football side of running the business and having got the last two managerial appoinments hopelessly wrong must take responsibility for the fact that we have little chance of promotion in the near future.
