Was absolutely perfect for me on Virgin Box, laptop and mobile. Seemed to be a resounding success from my persepective.

of course there are going to be some teething problems that was to be expected I guess, but saying that I was really surprised at the different of quality between my phone app & fire stick. tuesday I watched burnley v man city at work on their wifi it was faultless & great picture, couldn't complain thought it was brilliant

yesterday at home on the firestick it was terrible for a good half hour I was trying to watch an episode of the us office before the Merseyside derby. couldn't even access that, then after numerous failed attempts at that, thought well might as well watch man utd v spurs to pass the time. took me 10 mins to get it to work, constant freezing & buffering. then got in but then wasn't til 20-25 mins. I had a watchable picture. thankfully I switched over to the Merseyside derby that was far better, had a few bits where frame rate when weird but overall great & no delay

I was wondering if man utd issues were amazon couldn't cope with the amount of people on 1 game. so was there issue not ours

I watched the Man U game last night without a hiccup, when that finished, turned over to the pool game and again, didnt skip a beat. Watching on my PC, on firefox browser from Spain. Was all perfect

I watched the goals centre on my pc (years old HP dont even know spec); Liverpool v Everton on my dinky little Huawei ipad; and Man U v Spurs on my years old Samsung phone. All over a 33mbs (whatever that means) sky broadband.

All absolutely perfect quality.

Yes, I know, I need to find a girl friend 😚
With a name like Snake I wouldn't imagine you have too many problems finding one mate 😁

Yeah, was great via the Prime app on our LG telly.

Be interesting to see how Sky try and step it up.
Same here Prime App, LG, plus I have Virgin 200MB broadband so should have no problems with the stream.

Generally superb picture, but the last 15 mins of the bin dipper derby alternated every 10 seconds between sharp and blurry.

Some proper cock waving here regarding tvs....

I drove my Bentayga home yesterday to my lovely 7 bed, 7 bathroom country estate. Asked the butler (36D-24-36) to put the game on my 4x3 Samsung Video wall.

Must say, was a cracking view and when I looked the game wasn't too bad either.

Something that people who don't work in tech might not know is that Amazon's other big business is Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is the second biggest cloud computer platform on the planet, and the go-to cloud platform for media content providers.

Whenever you fire up Netflix, Hulu, iPlayer, etc, you're connecting to AWS. In many ways, they were the perfect company to trial this (just a shame about them being tax dodging pricks).

I watched the games last night on my Samsung 4k UHD tv and the pic was excellent.

just watched Liverpool game on 4G on my phone ya man airport and it was crystal clear.

Can’t fault Amazon on quality and price. £79 a year. I pay that a Month for sky and broadband!

I hope they get a lot more games if the VOD output is as good as this.

Big test will be watching tomorrow’s game from overseas

I’m pretty sure Prime tv is unavailable in the Middle East. Never worked in Qatar.

Thought the option to turn off commentary was excellent, as was the option to view the goals back whilst the game was still going on. I missed our goal against Wolves because I was faffing trying to find a stream, and the one I was watching didn't show a replay of it (that I saw). Wouldn't have been an issue if I was watching that through Amazon.

Do an option where you can choose to view those replays whilst simultaneously watching the live game, and I think they'll have perfected it.

Just wait 'til they strap a camera to the ref's head so you can see his viewpoint through your VAR headset. The future is here, I tell thi.

The next deal will probably shift games towards this format and probably Amazon. There might be a big push by the main players for their own streaming deals, so a very lucrative deal like the yeeha ball and puck ball with Amazon is highly likely.

With a view to watching the match tomorrow night (our lass has hurt her so I can't go) I've tried to watch the scouse match and its been shit. Pixelated and completely gone down twice.
200meg broadband, quad core with 8g of ramming. Hd not available either.

Anyone else find it doo doo?
To be fair,I have had better picture than I get from sky

Who do you think is bigger than amazon when it comes to providing cloud infrastructure?

The 4k HDR streams in particular looked amazing. Think it was just the man city and liverpool matches that had HDR

Does it work on bt tv ?

On my BT UHD Box the Man City match buffered every few minutes, I then tried Liverpool and same. HOWEVER if I use the Amazon app on my Panasonic TV no buffering and plays great. Strange thing is both are wired to the router exactly the same.

I’m struggling to watch it on mine

A bit hit & miss to be honest. Once connected it was fine, but getting connected took a while...........poor signal probably.

Yes, I know, I need to find a girl friend 😚

Well if your username is anything to go by, you'll be fighting them off!

For what it's worth, picture was excellent for me with firestick

I used the same method for watching Liverpool v Everton and in the pre-match build-up it kept freezing, but during the game it was fine.

No doubt for anyone not able to get to the lane tonight that this will be the day when it all goes wrong on the prime app...

Forbes says Microsoft (Azure stuff), but I'd say surely it's Amazon at the top?

Edit: that article was 2 years old, which in Internet terms is almost forever so likely not the case now.

The post originally said they were the biggest, but I thought I’d google that was still the case before pressing submit, and similarly found and article that said Azure was now the biggest.

I have no idea what metric was used.
