How are we losing this... is Newcastle our prem Walsall... oh waddle is a cunt...

Commentary is pathetic, Macnamara doing his best but with a pile of dogshit next to him... also whatever happened to replays? Are we meant to rewind the stream ourselves? Next they'll be telling me I have to scan my own f**king groceries at the checkout

Watched on TV
Perfect . Apart from Waddle being a Geordie ex player and fan, and a bum sucking piglet and team mate of wankers like Carlton Palmer.

Worked fine via PS4. Apart from the dreadful commentary.

Update on the streaming....

Watched last nights game on the iPad on the hotel wifi in a bar in Reykjavik. Even though the hotel was next door, the WiFi signal was excellent. Unusually for hotel WiFi

I turned the sound off and put subtitles on. So didn’t get the Chris Waddle inane ramblings.

Result was a joke but the Amazon stream was better than any I’ve had before.

If you’re ever in Reykjavik go to the Sumac restaurant/ bar. Cocktails were excellent. Shots fantastic and the barman’s knowledge of booze was brilliant

Amazon did 2 rounds of fixtures, Sky do over 250 games.. £79 for 2 games is pretty damn expensive.

Also if Amazon do get more football you can be sure that £79 price will not stick. This is a test for Amazon, they'll be bidding the next cycle of bidding for sure.

Make no mistake the package Amazon bought, 20 games over 2 match weeks, is very much a test for them to see if it's viable commercially. If it's a success then they will more than likely go big when the rights come up for renewal again in January 2021 and could be joined by other big tech companies like Netflix, Facebook, YouTube etc. Maybe even a sports company like DAZN will get involved.

It'll be interesting to see how it pans out as the package they've got cost a modest £90 million or £30 million a season or to break it down further £15 million for each of the game days they have. They currently have a 30 day free trial so any extra subscriptions for this years games won't have bought in any extra revenue if they all cancel at the end of the free period but again for them it's probably worth absorbing that cost to test the water.

Unless the rules around showing 3pm Saturday games are relaxed then I can;t really see how the EPL would be able to divvy up the packages on offer much differently to how they are now. Sky paid £3.579 billion for their 4 packs of games. You'd have to shift a hell of a lot of £79 a year subscriptions to cover or even get close to covering that.

Longer term it's pretty obvious streaming is the way it's going to go. How that would look with regards to who broadcasts it is anyone's guess but DAZN have shown it can be done pretty well.

Thought I was watching on Newcastle TV the coverage was biased against us beyond belief.

Tried watching the Man U & Liverpool games the other night and although there was no buffering at all, the picture quality was horrendous (watching on Xbox and only got a shitty 3MB connection out here in The Valley).
