Just listened to the excellent Blades Pod (Berge emergency), and towards the end they were discussing that Zivkovic could be the 1st Blades player whose name begins with a 'Z' to play for the wizards. Also talked about listing our favourite alphabetic list of players. So here's mine. We've not had an 'X', and I am struggling with 'Y'. Can think of a centre half we had on loan called 'Yates', but I don't think I want him on my list.

According to Silent Blade though, it doesn't look like Lee Z actually got on the pitch - so Richairo Z could still be the first to actually play. (Also - this is insane levels of knowledge from Silent)

According to Denis Clareborough's Complete Records book, Lee didnt come on the field. I remember seeing him driving his car about in the Cherry Street car park and having a laugh with the other youth players. He can be seen in the below video (the glum ball boy on the left just after David Hirst scored the equaliser (4 mins 10 secs)

According to the excellent The Complete Record book, we had an Alan Young and Dick Young. They're in the the A-Z of memorable players section.

Alan is noted for his remarkable number of injuries in his short spell with us, and Dick for losing the best of his years to the war.

Dick Young was Carlisle's trainer in the 1970's (he is pictured below with the squad for their only season in the top division). He had a spell as the manager too.
