It always amazes me that fans and players can be openly racist when we have black players in our team, brain dead fuckers the lot of em including the apologists on here.

I know one of the players in our team as she manages my son's team.

I'll see what she has to say about it, particularly due to her skin colour :(
 
Like many have already expressed, I'm surprised racism is any sort of issue these days. Now an enormous fat bastard turning up on the football pitch is something to laugh about.

Could have. Haven’t seen any evidence though. I’ve made jokey comments about him so not going to “defend” in any way someone accused just because they are linked to United. That’d be perverse.
 
I find it amazing that an allegation of a woman making an offensive sound after a minor football game has become national news. And everyone piles in to say how unacceptable racism is, and there is no place for it in sport.

Sure racism's wrong but sometimes I wonder whether the social media / media reaction to alleged incidents is fueled by virtue signalling. Look at me, I'm not racist!

I grew up in the 70s , went to Abbeydale ,have seen loads of racism ,but I cant recall once in my life ever hearing anyone making monkey noises at another person in anger. Always had black friends during and after school and now ,and Ive never heard the word honky said in anger either , just for balance.:rolleyes:
I would also add that if someone is found to be really doing this they want hanging out.

A bit like with that incident in Italy the other day. If only people would ignore it and not make a big deal of racist incidents. Bloody virtue signallers.
Suspect in this case the fact it's occurred in a women's game is extra newsworthy. It's usually just thick men.

You say you've never heard the monkey noises or the word Honkey used "In anger"

If you've heard them used 'Not in anger', as your post implies, therefore deliberately, surely this is a much more serious racist offence.

It’s possible he means between black and white good friends, especially with “honky”.

I don’t know him but he’s never struck me as some sort of apologist. Probably poor wording if anything.

If Sharp (or indeed any of our first team players) had done this would the same people who want this woman sacked want him to be sacked, if indeed this happened?

You joke about that, but there are people who would genuinely screenshot and cut the end part of it and post it on twitter, set up a campaign, it features in the news and your identity is revealed and your employers are contacted and you get fired after immense pressure and hounded for months.

I don't want to lecture you, or anyone but there are a lot of vultures watching this forum, that's all...

A serious response is yes and yes..

Sack them both, and if the manager did it, sack him too, picking on people for something they shouldn’t be picked on for and couldn’t change if they wished or wanted to is disgusting and should be shown no mercy... our club and all clubs need to set an example make clear the consequences, and carry out the punishment, no excuses..

Zero tolerance on all bigotry and racism from the top to the bottom.. it’s 20.19.. let’s evolve eh..
