Wouldnt worry too much. Wilder is unproven in the championship. McCabe and the prince amongst other premier league and fellow championship clubs know this. The club isn't going to offer him a new deal until there's some certainty that he will be a success in this division and above. I for one have no doubts he will be, but it's easy for me to say. I'm not paying his wages. First year of a 3 year deal, if he doesn't cut it next year and an extended deal is agreed that could be a hefty financial blow should the grapes turn sour.

I thought we'd done this argument to death. At the start of last season we had all the ITK pundits saying 'he'd not had any League One experience'. What happened? He absolutely pissed it.

There's no reason why Chris Wilder cannot do the same next season in the Championship and the following year in the Premier League. The only obstacle is how high is the ceiling we are setting on our ambitions.
