All is lost, bring back Warnock! God what nonsense. It was a good lesson today. We may have been a Premiership team and we now face teams whose star players couldn't make our squad, but that doesn't mean they can't play football. Most of all it means for them it is like a cup tie - do or die. If we don't match it then we are up the creek.

Today was a good lesson to have early in the season so players realize they are going to have to work for every ball. I hope one or two get to sit out the next game. Can't understand why we leave Lucketti sitting on the bench, Kilgallon has much to learn as a centre-back but could contribute at fullback.

Keith has to be dropped, he's just not showing up. We can hope some of our injured folks will be back, even if not there should still be changes. Right now the top quality required by our players has to be honest effort, not just marking a man but being available for a pass. We have to retire this hoof ball.

We have a good football squad but we can't just rely on beating those :rant:teams willing to play football. We have to be willing to take on those teams who keep it more basic. Finally, we have to play as a team, not as a bunch of 'stars' who get on each other backs. It's still a team game and it's teams that win.

Go Blades and for Gods sake, get stuck in.

I wud love to know where our young kids have gone Nicky law and Squinny - Law maybe has a bit of developing to do but wudnt be any worse than wot was out there at scunny - Squinny has two feet other than stretch who only has his left foot capable of any football

Couldnt put it better myself ... Ive seen more effort from a dead paralysed rat! ... One word: pre-madonna ... :(

you are right about keith, he could not look less interested, but i still think its a tad early in the season to start panicking. I do agree with what i have seen this year that we do look more like a collection of individuals than a team but it will take time for things to gel and for the players to get used to a different style of management.

I know everyone says "We're only 4 games in" and not to panic, but I saw something interesting yesterday. They showed the Premier League table from last year to demonstrate how much of a better start Liverpool had had. The bottom three after 4 games were us, Watford and Charlton!
We may have only played 4 games but it shows how crucial a good start can be. Got to get a result against Wolves.

Oh, and the bottom 3 are Reading, Derby and Bolton at the mo...I'd swap Sunderland for Bolton and settle for that!

Id swap West Ham for Bolton and settle for that. :D

You can say that, and you can also say that Sunderland were in the bottom 3 after up to 10 games last season, and Scunthorpe and Blackpool were both in the bottom 8 after 10 games last season. Look what happened to them.

No need to panic yet.

I think part of the problem is that he isn't being played as a winger... how many times did he drift inside on Saturday?

I can only think he was told to do it because his natural ability as a player is running down the wing.

But again we don't know if this is Keef roaming on his own free will or Robson asking him to do this.

Would seem a strange thing for a manager to do though in asking Keef to come in.

But if Robson didn't ask him to do it, why didn't he tell him to stop? :)

against west brom stretch was coming over from the left and playing just inside keith now and then, it worked as no one picked him up, and keith had more space to run down the wing, I didnt see this happening on Saturday.

Keith has good and bad games we know that since we had him he has always been like that.

He doesn't say much during a game does he?

Or perhaps Keef was getting drinks in after game.

Robson does get his views across, but in terms of shouting at them from the sidelines its generally Kidd who barks the orders.
