Being discussed on the Alex Revell Thread on the Rumours section...
Possibly he made his start in football in Cambridge, 32 year old.. Maybe his last pay day and local to home
Anyone else think we've had a lucky escape if in deed it's not just the star making crap up on a slow news day.
If true, I would like to know the reasons why someone chooses Northampton over us as a genuine question. Wages? Etc
Not bothered.
Can I use this? A quality retort sirMore bothered about what to have for tea, and not that bothered about that to be honest. We move on.
Northampton is about 20 minutes away from MK, if he has bought a house down there it makes perfect sense
Footballing wise;
Option 1 - Join Northampton on a 2-year deal and start probably 75% of their games
Option 2 - Join Blades on a 1-year deal, (can't see us offering anything longer) and start Johnstone Paint and League Cup games if you are lucky.....
Wages wouldn't have been much different but guaranteed 2 years income at Northampton. I know what I would have done in his position..
To supper?More bothered about what to have for tea, and not that bothered about that to be honest. We move on.
Having played for Rotherham he will have heard our fans on Grumble and Grumble.
Revell wanted to play for Manager Page and we were still trying to convince him to sign as late as this morning apparently.

Exert from article:
"Alex Revell has admitted one of the main reasons he rejected the advances of Sheffield United and MK Dons to sign for the Cobblers was the opportunity to work with Rob Page.
It is understood the Dons and the Blades were very keen on signing Revell, along with other Sky Bet League One clubs, but the 32-year-old says once he knew Northampton were interested in him, he wasn’t going anywhere else.
To be honest, he didn’t need to sell the club to me but Rob Page’s drive and what he wants to do here was a big aspect of why I wanted to sign
The Chron understands that more money was offered to Revell by other clubs, and that Sheffield United were still trying to persuade him to move to south Yorkshire as late as Tuesday morning.
But Revell wasn’t interested and instead says he ‘wants to get down to business’ at Northampton with his ‘talented’ new team-mates and manager Page.
“There has been interest from other clubs, but the manager was the one of the main reasons I have signed here,” said Revell, who grew up in Cambridge.
“When I met him I got on great with him.
“To be honest, he didn’t need to sell the club to me but his drive and what he wants to do here was a big aspect of why I wanted to sign."
