There was nothing wrong with Kevin Blackwell in Brazil, it started to go wrong when he came back.Echoes of Kevin Blackwell In Brazil.
Well effectively they were two (or more correctly, three) different bands using the same name.
Peter Green was an awesome blues guitarist, but drugs fuddled his head up and the rest of the story, until recent years, was very sad.
Bob Welch took over singing and guitar duties, but the albums failed to sell in the UK (did decent enough sales in the USA), but they hit the big time when they shook things up by bringing in Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.
Rumours sold about 50 million copies and is the 5th best selling album in US history.
Yes, and while it's well written and produced pop music it's also MOR blandness. Green's material leaves it on the dust.
There was another completely separate Fleetwood Mac wasn't there? I think the record company had the rights to the name or something.
Did a band called Stretch sometimes play live as Fleetwood Mac.
Their song " Why did you do it" was about them being doppelgangers . Interview on Jonny Walkers excellent sounds of the 70's a while back.I think that was the same band after they played under the Fleetwood Mac name, will have to go and look it up cos it's bugging me now!![]()
