A lot of what Alan Bigg's writes personally really gripes me. I don't know why but I just find him incredibly bias in everything he writes about us, even when he appears to compliment or praise us I often feel that hidden amongst his clever wording is a below the belt dig? Maybe it is just me who knows? But that is how I feel.

In his latest article however I am shocked and baffled that I actually agree with him on something. He points out that the midweek win was a decent one however this shouldn't mean that as a result Clough calls off any efforts to bring in a striker of loan.

He says we still need to more "orthodox line leader" or "target man" as such. He points out that we have pace and technical ability in other positions but we still need that physical aspect in the final third of the pitch, a position that Higdon was brought in to undertake however has failed to do so (valid point). He feels that it is not negativity as such that we play 4-5-1 but more of a forced hand due to not having the players to play otherwise.

He then moves on to Davies of Blackpool again, with Madine joining them on loan he wonders whether Davies could find himself surplus to requirements again and on our radar as a possible loan move.

Anyway an interesting article from Mr Biggs for once and I do agree with some of it.
