That game was disgustingly shit and I don't think I could bear watching us be either of them.. Even if we yoyo up and down for the next 7 million years getting arsed raped 78-0 every week I'd take it over that, as we'd be at least seeing one decent team. It really was that horrific.

I started going to the Lane just before we dropped to the fourth, and the shown tonight from them basically brought memories of that back. Calling it atrocious would be a compliment. I'm actually. lost for words at how bad that was to watch. And they're challenging to take our place!

Abby pal, please get the next manager right and back him a little.. I may have to watch swimming or some shit if that's our future. Or sprint straight out in front of a bus.

From what I saw from Bournemouth vs Brentford (watched most not all of the game) was two teams trying to win. Shame its not them two in final as it would be more enjoyable.

I watched Luton v Rotherham the other week and it changed my views on Fleck/Norwood instantaneously. From thinking they were done, to thinking, jees, they're going to be in a class of their own in that League!

We all know the Championship is all about effort, organisation, scoring first is a must if you're the better side. Each team does have players that can hurt you though and we shouldn't assume just because the overall standard is much worse that we are going to do what Norwich have just done. But with a couple of quality additions, hopefully a fit squad, we should be right up there challenging and I think WBA and Fulham may well be our biggest challengers for the top spot along with whoever doesn't go up between Brentford and Bournemouth.

Having watched a few games over the last few weeks involving Wednesday, Derby, Rotherham etc in the relegation battle I am confident in saying those games were some of the lowest quality games I have seen in over 40 years watching football.

Now I did initially put that down to three of them being in the worst four teams in the division, but after seeing the play off at Oakwell last night involving two of the best teams On record in the division the quality was only marginally better.

I believe now even with the current squad and Hecky in charge we would finish top 10 next season with a competent managerial appointment I am now confident we should finish top six minimum.

I actually don't think the Bournemouth Brentford game was that great. They had spells of decent football and Brookes has a great eye for a defence splitting pass but he was easy to bully out of the game. What constitutes a foul in the Championship seems to be completely different If this game had been in the Premiership both sides would have had more than one sent off. The main difference is how frequently possession turns over in the Championship. the pace is too fast for the technical ability of the players to control the ball, look up and find a pass, unless it is backwards. this is in part what leads to hoof because the key to winning the game is where possession is turned over. The better teams win the ball back higher up the pitch and/or have quick players to break if they win it back in their own half. The worse teams come under pressure in their own half and to avoid giving the ball away resort to hoof

It was agricultural hoof. No pass and move. No tactics bar belt it up top.. Very few moments of any sort of skill bar the goal.

It's like dropping down to League One. There's a big gap in quality. We've just go to remember that, like League One, we'll have no right to a win and playing quality football is the way out.

Remember how in the first Danny Wilson season we had players like Lee Williamson who went from not good enough to almost unstoppable? That's what the step between divisions is like. Next season in the Champ will be no different in terms of what's on display.

The other thing we've got to remember is that if you don't put a shift in, and if you don't have quality, that it's not easy getting out of it. Arrogance gets you nowhere and I don't want to turn into an entitled Prem fan who sneers at the leagues below. It's a tough division. We should have an edge though if we're smart about it.

Think about it this way, top clubs work a good opening. City aside, they might make 10. Barnsley just keep hammering away and will probably create 20 and hope for errors. Completely different game. Work well and hard as a unit. Have a couple of players who can create. Defend as a team you're up.

I've watched loads of Championship games this season, and other than Norwich, and perhaps Brentford last nights game could've been any of the other 22 teams in that league. Most games I've seen remind me of League 1 days actually where teams with genuine quality stick out like a sore thumb. Our starting elevent this season would finish top 3 in the Championship.

I agree the football Barnsley play is horrendous to watch. I do see their gaffer taking over at Palace despite that though, he used to play for them and most chairmen will just look at results, which they have been getting despite their average squad and poor style of football.
