we had 30 points

after 23 games this season we have 36 points

so basicly, last season we were failing at trying to play football

and this season we are failing at trying to play long ball

super!

Last season we missed out on the playoffs by a couple of points. 12 more points last season would have put us 3rd.

because we got lucky and went on a run, in a stupid division, at one point during the plymouth game, we were in the bottom 3

So we play how people want us to play and go on a winning run it's lucky, but if we hit a bad spell after an unconvincing start to the season we need to sack the manager and half the players?

What are they supposed to do to please?

I'd take another "lucky run" starting Saturday myself.

there was no pressure on them when blackwell came in, thats why it was lucky, now there is, they simply cant hack it

Playing well under no pressure is lucky? no skill involved?

If this is true, why are half the Blades in attendance every week intent on putting them under immense pressure and jumping on their backs every 2 seconds?
Wouldn't supporting them rather than making them nervous be more productive?

i support them at the match, i wont boo them or anything like that

but im seriously starting to get sick of this shit being served up every week

blackwell just isnt the man, if i were maccabe, id sack him now

go and get martinez because now he is a manager

hes coached a bunch of league1 players in to looking like an impressive football team in the championship, imagine what he could do with our supposedly talented players

As do I, many others seem intent on abusing them from the first few seconds of the warm up though.

I think its far too early to say, BUT he needs to fix the current problems and fast. We need to stay away from the sacking and proclaiming the future at the first few signs of trouble in my opinion.

He still didn't manage to get his in form side to beat "dog shit" with 10 men.

they created chance after chance which they kept missing, or kenny saved, one of those days! on another day they would have put 6 or 7 past us

Where have I heard that before? which "dog shit" team has done that recently? (although not the last couple of games).

Who's to say we aren't having "one of those months"?

We are in a poor run, it doesn't automatically mean Swansea are a better team (over the season) or that Martinez is a better manager than Blackwell.

They were without doubt the better team on the day, it's just that doesn't mean we should swap players and manager.

Er, we have been poor all season, its just over the last month, its got a whole lot poorer, and martinez is a better manager, as blackwell is just an awful manager, long ball hoof, dirty tacktics, whats that 6 reds now? just total rubbish management, i could go on, but im sick of talking about it now tbh!, im going to put up the xmas tree and eat some chinese food! good night!

I wondered, during the Reading match actually, if we swapped players with Reading whether we would be able to play the same brand of football.

I ask this question because i see teams made up of players with less talent and yet they still seem to play kind of football which we aspire to but continually fail to acheive.

Southampton seem content to accept some poor results while their manage implements a total football approach to the game; would we accept the same?

I can actually see us in a similar position to Southampton if we fail to achieve promotion this year actually so perhaps the above scenario is not such an impossiblity.
