They’ve asked him this exact question on Talksport recently.
He said his team is Barnsley but he admitted to always liking Spurs, so admitted that’s his 2nd team.

Then said as he lives in Milton Keynes, they are his local team, he’s been to a few matches and has a soft spot for them. Someone commented that he’s a Man Utd fan, he laughed saying he’s often accused of supporting Man Utd but never supported them, just admired them under Fergie.

Adrian Durham was winding him up a few weeks back saying he’d received tweets from people saying Goughy supports multiple teams
Durham suggested Man Utd....Goughy said a few people seem to think he supports Man Utd but he doesn’t know why apart from his admiration for Alex Ferguson.
Then Durham said people think he supports Leeds? Goughy laughed and said no true Barnsley person would ever support Leeds.
Durham then mentioned Spurs...Goughy admitted he’s always really liked Spurs....said they are actually his 2nd team if someone is allowed to have a PL team.

Goughy didn’t like Durham winding him up....said when he was a young lad he used to travel all around the country with his pals watching Barnsley
So they will always be his number 1 team but he admitted that he rarely goes to any Barnsley matches these days due to being based down south.

Durham then asked him if he went to watch Barnsley in their last appearance at Wembley in the play-offs
Goughy had to admit no, he said he felt a bit guilty not going but said he didn’t have time. He said he went to the Barnsley play-off final before that match.
Then he admitted that in recent years the team he’s seen the most live is MK Dons but explained that’s because it’s his local team.
He joked that people will be suggesting he supports MK Dons next.

If Durham knew owt about football he'd tell it like it is - that Nathan Ake is utterly overrated. Bournemouth were wanting £75m for this Ruud Gullit pretend-a-like last week. Same as Maguire? A bargain if you want a 'nearly man' who's almost - but not quite - doing a job in defence. If you want somebody who's permanently on his arse ten yards behind the play.

I'd love him on our bench ..... when someone sells someone for £80 million clubs are scared that they will come poaching so inflate the price two fold (or even 3 fold in this case) ..... Andy Carroll £35m to Lpool after Torres went for £50m was an eg (and both were absolutely useless as well lol) ...... The result was seeing Durham backtracking - so all good. Roll on Sunday I say

He played at Barnsley and had a choice football or cricket ....... (he picked the right one #EngLegend) - he is a very proud Barnsley lad and thus his first look at the results will be Barnsley .......... but he ain't a true fan thus his 2nd love of Spurs (after the 1981 Cup Final reply) and being the biggest celeb in MK means its easy for him to have 'loads of clubs.' Goughie reminds me of Robbie Williams whose 'team' is Port Vale yeh right !

Hope you're right mate, I'm just over the moon the be here and to see we'e competing so well. We've got some very good players and as highlighted on MOTD2 we play as a unit. Most pundits seem to think Villa will do the best out of the three promoted sides but they've got the most pressure on them and unlike us and Norwich are introducing many new players which doesn't help them.
