Love it! Hate Celtic (especially over the rangers debacle) but its a great chant

This lot seem to be enjoying life in the third tier

It is a pity they will not be staying there for some time. Got what they deserved. I wonder what their following would be had they stayed down a few years.

They actually won their case with the tax man, so perhaps shouldn't have had such heavy penalties. Many of the other clubs in Scotland have used them as an example and are still trying to punish them

Sounds like Charles Green is actually doing an alright job, but its still unclear what his agenda is there, so needs to be handled carefully.

Scottish football keep moving the goal posts, so it looks like Rangers will make an attempt to get into the English Conference, 60% have said that they will accept them in. I think Scottish football needs Rangers more than Rangers need it.

60% would say yes though as it increases the profile of the league and gets a massive increase in revenue for them.
My thought would be why would 40% say no? Maybe they abstained.
I would hate Rangers or any other Scottish club for that matter to be let anywhere near our leagues.

They were relegated to the bottom league because they went bust and were liquidated.
The case with HMRC was a different matter and I can't believe they won their case.
If the payments they made to players were loans and therefore tax-free, when will the players be repaying the loans?
Why don't all clubs simply pay players like that and avoid paying tax? Doesn't it set a precedent?

"The club, which is now in liquidation, used the scheme from 2001 to 2010 to make £47.65m in payments to players and staff in the form of tax-free loans. HMRC had challenged the payments, arguing that they were illegal. In a majority decision, the tribunal said the payments - of about £49m - were loans, not earnings, and so were not liable for income tax."

I think we should adopt a song

Lets make it happen!!

We've already tried to steal it once, it lasted a few weeks of half hearted attempted at it. I'd rather we be more creative to be honest.

It just makes me cringe watching every group of lads at every ground in the country trying to be ground breaking by attempting to do Dale Cavese or something.

This type of tax planning arrangement / scheme is no longer possible, but during that period "Employee Benefit Trusts" were widely used by high earning individuals to save tax.

This is the Jimmy Carr tax avoidance scheme. The loans are never repaid and effectively tax is only paid on the interest charged on the loans. (A benefit in kind)

Eg loan £500k Interest say £25k tax on £25k @ 20% = £5k effective tax rate 5/500 = 1%. :)

Thing is how many songs have we "invented" lately.. They're all reworded versions of other football songs.. Most of em anyway

Indeed, but we could at least pick something less wide spread, or be the ones that do actually create something :)

Ok. What about The Beatles - All You Need Is Love...

Reworked to

All you need is Blades Blades, The Blades are all you need

Repetitive chanting has been done to death now. Innovation lies in the belting out of full songs start to finish.

And verse 2 of the GCB goes, how?

;)

You fill up my senses, like a gallon of magnet
Like a packet of woodbines
Like a good pinch of snuff.
Like a night out in Bournemouth
Like a greasy chip butty
Like sheffield united, i can't get enough.

Sorry, you didn't ask me did ya :)

I have heard there is a round thing that helps vehicles travel. I think its time we reinvented it.

If we wanna start singing full length songs again we should do the proper "He's a Blade". Works better away though.

He's a blade and He's a blade, He's a blade and He's a blade and He's a blade and He's a blade and He's a blade.. Na na naaa naaah He's a blade and He's a blade na naa naa naaaa He's a blade He's a blade He's a fucking blade!

or...

Hello, hello, we are the shoreham boys
Hello, hello, we are the shoreham boys
and if you are a Wednesdayite surrender or you die.
We will follow United

Hello, hello, we are the shoreham boys
Hello, hello, we'll get the fucking loits
and if you are a wednesdayite surrender or you die
We will follow united

Hello, hello, they are the shoreham boys
Hello, hello, they are they shoreham boys
and if you are a wednesdayite surrender or you die
They all follow United

You misunderstand - I'm thinking along the lines of 2,500 grown men doing this:
