How have Moose and McBurnie consistently added to the team?
In their first season they won.us enough points to add 120 million pounds to the team
If your criteria is signings who have played well since Norwood and are still playing well then you can take that back to.signing Billy Sharp because they've all been wank

My criteria for "consistently adding to the team" is consistency.

Over a three year period ? Your original question was who was our last half decent signing
You changed the specifications of that quite dramatically when I answered that we almost qualified for Europe

£120,000,000 went towards keeping the rest of the league afloat, none to improve the team

The sad fact is our recruitment over the last 2yrs has been awful. I cant think of any other team that has a worse recruitment record. And this season has been no better. Olson and Davies not what we need and expensive. Guedioura a 36year old crock

MGW is a positive but will probably be gone in the new year

Combined with others reaching the end of their shelf life, yesterday was inevitable
I wonder what odds Ladbrooks are giving for a Steel City Derby next season

Other than that everthing fine!

He may not be the midfielder we want but he's the midfielder we need.

Even though he's closer to his bus pass than his birth certificate he's the only leave-your-foot-in, booking-waiting-to-happen midfielder we've got that's anywhere near the first team.

If having Norwood as the main passer is the imperative it seems to be for this team, and in the absence of Slater being given any trust then surely he's the only option we have that adds bite at this level.

There will be games where we get to simply out football teams and you get away with having Hourihane and Norwood as a pairing but in many you have to outcompete to get a chance to outplay. I'd like to see more of this guy show his experience and get stuck in there alongside Norwood.

That double pivot thing just doesn't work for us. It's far too passive and just asks too much of other players.

I'm not thoroughly dismissing Sander but his attribute has to be that of where he runs forward with the ball rather than deep lying square passer.

Up top in this 3-4-3 type system, I'd like to see N'Diaye/Didzy share minutes, Brewster/Billy share minutes and then Gibbs-White/Sander tie down the other spot. I think that is a good blend of experience and ability in key areas. The other forwards we should be pushing towards the exit be that through loans or unlikely sales.

He's definitely worth a go, rather than Sandra Berge or nesh it Hourihane

Was steady enough for the 23’s when he played but didn’t do much to really affect the game or standout as head and shoulder above everyone else. Now that could be due to him just going through the motions for fitness but it wasn’t a you’ve got to play me performance.

Do we hold the current record for acquiring crap that you knew before it arrived that it would add fuck all to the team/squad ?
It's beyond a joke.

He definitely played well in the games he took part in pre his injury.
Improvement on our current midfield and/or playing alongside Hoorayihan or Norwould.

A little bit more of wages saved.

The prince is going to be able to pay off his house that he remortgaged very soon at this rate!!

Does anyone know why we signed this guy? Genuine question.

From what I can gather, he had played for Slav in the past, and so he wanted him and we went and got him.

I think he (Slav) had decided we needed a midfield enforcer type, to bring on to see a game out, and protect a lead.

Anyone with better info, feel free to chime in.

If we sign this chap (and it screams "relegation"), he might be the last signing we make who is older than I am.

That's a sobering thought.

And there he goes. There are still two players in the team older than I am but I doubt we'll buy anyone else who is, especially after this abject failure.
