does the guy need a work permit does anyone know ?
Should imagine so. Not sure how long he was in the country for before Brexit and whether he would be entitled to settlement status having spent last couple of years in Qatar. He is forrun and didn't cross the channel in the a dinghy so its all pointing to needing one.

After reading couple of forum post about our other midfielders this guy doesn't have to provide much to be in starting 11

He was here 9 years. For all we know he may have citizenship, settled status or indefinite leave to remain. May still have a house here and based here while he was playing in Qatar. Bit different to some of the lads with 1 club or no experience we've looked at.

Winning the Africa cup of nation surely gets bonus points anyway.

Think he had to be living here on 31 December 2020 which is why I said about him being in Qatar for 2 years may not have made him elgible. He also needed to apply before 30 June. But as you said, if he had house here, was paying uk taxes on his tax free money in Qatar then he may be eligible for settled status ........ For ILTR he would have needed to show 5 years continuous residence as at 31 December 2020 - think he might struggle on that one.

Will be embarrassing if this falls through due to work permit problems after what happened with the winger .
We must have checked this out surely.
Would he have been able to train if he hadnt a work permit.Cant really class training with a pro club as a holiday surely.

Notification on my phone flashed up earlier saying he had been training at Shirecliffe with the squad last 3 weeks and deal to be finalised Monday. Should have read it more to see what else it said before I deleted it but was too excited as the 6th goal went in today my phone ended up flying across the room.

Was sat behind the bench today with the rest of the players not in the 18. Looked like Davies was there too but no Berge or Olsen.

When are those videos from? It was reported he’d tested positive for Covid, which is why he didn’t play for Norway.
Sometime between Wednesday and Friday. I'd imagine he's just not match fit after isolating for 10 days

Berge was there.

Yep Berge was sat about 30 yards away from us. I think today's style of play would really suit him. Options in midfield! Feels great that the sky has stopped falling and we get a break from the infantile comments and throwing of toys from prams.

I think he doesn’t understands the full questions due to the language barrier, hence him not being happy doing the media stuff, at least he tries to have a go though unlike Bielsa at Leeds. You would think with how long he has been in the Uk Bielsa would have learned a few words in English.

I think he does understand the questions as he’s lived in England for a long time (Watford, fulham and now Sheffield). I just think sometimes he gets frustrated as he doesn’t have the words in his Arsenal to answer the way he wants to
