It’s a good point, also is over looked Bashams suitability for the role.

yes think he will get a 1 year contract these midfield additions have to mean norwood and fleck being benched but at least weve got more options now up to those 2 to fight their way back in thats been the problem no competition

Osborn could potentially play that role too. He's not quick enough to play down the wing or as a wing back, but he's got a decent engine on him and he's tenacious enough to break up play. He's got a decent enough passing range.

One of our biggest problems is a lack of mobility in the middle of the park. We were looking at Ronaldo Vieira to resolve this... now that ones failed, a 35 year old that's been on the beach for 2 years.

Its scattergun. Its terrible. We're doomed.

Works for me. Will have a calmness and presence in there plus someone who knows how Slav wants us to play. A deal until the summer seems relatively low-risk.

I think it would be very harsh to go to a back 4 and totally disregard Basham. He's been one of the better players even when we've not done well.

Egan and Davies are obvious in a two but I'd hate to see him just fade away when he still has something left in the tank.

If it takes Norwood out of the squad for a while I'm all for it. Think the majority of our squad feel untouchable. No longer the case with the additions we've made.

The bloke will be another option for us and his experience will also help.
I would imagine his wages wouldn't be expensive as being 35 he won't have a large choice of clubs offering deals.
The main thing we need to check for is weather he's fit enough to play 90mins.
