I do not think I am writing them off but anyone who questions whether they will make it have good reason. Neither player looks close to being anywhere near a regular in a mid table third tier side. Reed has barely played this season but noone has wanted to take him on loan it would seem. Calvert Lewin scored a few goals at Northampton but was a sub as much as he played. I am going on what my eyes tell me. They both are painfully weak physically but more than that they don't look good enough ability wise. I may be proved wrong but both have a long way to even make it as a lower league professional. Both have another couple of years on their contract but really have to make significant strides or I fear they will go same way as Kennedy, McFadzean, Ironside and many others who sadly have not been good enough. Reed has got worse since his debut not better.
I have seen nothing in either of them this season to suggest they could be even close to major contributors in a promotion winning team.
Reed has not been allowed out on loan despite interest, but yet he's not an Adkins "player " because he's not 6 foot+, hence Whitemans selection in front of Reed. Reed will not be here next season unless Adkins leaves. Disgusting what Adkins has done to Reed, Calvert Lewin, Wallace and now Adams. Pathway for youngsters my arse
