Perhaps they tossed a coin to determine which should move to the other's club? It seems Nigel prefers fishing to watchmaking, so the quest for COG is over! As for Jamie, he's a good lad who gave us some exciting times, but I suspect Brighton will be scratching their heads before long if they think they've got an old style winger. I wish him well but I'd sooner have the 1.75m and that's an objective view, not sour grapes. As I've said before, that amount of dosh, properly used, can deliver a far better team, even allowing for the loss of Murphy.

Perhaps Toxteth recommended Murphy to Hughton.

I don't disagree. I've posted on another thread that we assume the worst because we're used to the worst happening but good managers have shown that you can sell players and invest the money to improve the team.
